Which BoB character do you think are: ughvevo, doctorvulcan, rumbelle97, alive-4-fashion and scarsofoursoul most like? Explanations would be appreciated. Have a lovely day.
scarsofoursoul:Toni is definitely George Luz. Without any doubt. Now, when I think about it, I wonder that I never recognized it. I mean, what are the main features of Luz’ personality? His love for his friends, that in front placing of the feelings of his friends of his own, his reliability and of course, his humor. All that joking and making fun. (Okay, I don’t know if Toni can imitate voices, but I think we can forget about this fact.) An this description could be Antonia’s as well. She, as a person, who nearly suffers everyday (but would never admit this), is always there when you need her. She’ll sit at your side and dry your tears about some dumb problem, while she has to live with pain since so many years. She’ll always be that ball of happiness and joy. Will jump through the room like a squirrel under drugs. Sh’ll make jokes and yell with you self-composed songs through the whole village. But at the same time, she’ll always listen to your problems and hug you and give you all her love. Without wanting anything back. That’s Toni, that’s George Luz (or how I imagine him). The best person you can imagine. The best friend you can imagine. And I own the honor to call her my friend.
rumbelle97: After some matching and struggling, I came to the resolution, that Manja is Webster. She’s intelligent, crucial and a little bit distinct. But that’s, what we love her for. For her own sense of humor and her own way to see things. But (no disrespect against Webster, this isn’t something bad about him, but rather something goo about her) I think she’s braver than him. Also, she’s very loyal against her friends, absolutely reliable. If you ask her for something, she’ll do it.Therefore, I think that she’s a mix from Joe Toye and Webster. But maybe way more Webster. (What I forgot, they both only play after the rules.)
Paula, who’s Paula? I struggled a long time with it, not because I hadn’t any ideas, more because nobody is really like her. She’s just such a mix-up from multiple men, if not even from the whole Easy Company. (Yes, Sobel too.)
The first person I thought was (obviously) Winters. Not only that my dear friend is in love with him, she’s also like him in many ways. “No flaws, no vices, no sense of humor” - the first ones suite her in any way. Even if she thinks to be the non-perfects person in this world, in my eyes, she stands for perfection. If it’s sports or maths or physics or writing or acting or singing or whatever you’re thinking of (except stamina), she’s good in it. It’s the same with the second one, never drinking, not even thinking of smoking, would never go because of hating people too much partying. Maybe some people even think that she’s no sense of humor - but that’s only because she hasn’t such boring “usual” humor (which is better than all that other shit). That’s Paula. But, she’s more than Winters. The second guy I thought of immediately was Nixon. (Again not only because of her being n love with him.) It’s the intelligence and that not caring about others (not in the bad way, of course). She’d never jump through hoops for others, when she has a bad day and don’t want to be nice, she won’t be nice. If she’s a totally perfect day and is a freaking ball of happiness, she will run through the world like a young foul, which just learned to jump. That’s Paula as well. (What I forget, she’s also as sassy as him.)
And the last bloke, is Buck Compton. The intelligence, the brave and the love for her friends. Because for the ones, she really care, she’d do everything to make them feel good. She’d never let anything break you. And she understands you, she understands if you handbag her, and she understands if you tell her nothing at all. She understands, that not telling her your problem, doesn’t mean that you don’t trust her or anything. That it just mean, that you can’t tell it. Maybe one day, but not today. Or tomorrow. Or the next year.Perhaps she doesn’t comprehend, why I put emphasis on the braveness of Buck. Possibly she isn’t that sort of person, who throws herself in every fight or who even just throws herself in a fight, but IF she’d have to fight, she’d be stronger than anybody. Even stronger if she could ever imagine. I know that. (Also we see that in all these little fights with people at school.)
Even if this isn’t enough, if Paula is so much more, I think, everybody understood my message ‘bout her.
Okey, I now this really needed too much time, but TAADAA - here come Gabby and Lydi!
Well, to be honest, Gabby was a hard piece of work. I mean, who the hell could fit this amazing, little, quirky thing? Maybe this isn’t the best assessment, but the best I could do from, unfortunately, only knowing her from the internet. (Fucking scientists for not involving teleporting yet.)However, let’s start.
David Webster - Here we go with a man, full of intelligence and criticism. Never accepting, always scrutinizing. If he thinks that something goes wrong, he’d never accept that. Even if the whole world goes left, he’d go right, if he doesn’t like, that he sees left. Not to revolt or protest, just because, he thinks that right is better. And that’s how I see Gabby as well. (And don’t forget about the creativity.)
Bill Guarnere - Brave, loyal, funny and full of crazy ideas, that’s our Bill Guarnere. And for me, this is also ughvevo. Not one day message goes by, there I not see these attributes shining through the lines. She’s an amazing friend, how everybody can see, funny as fuck and again how everybody can see, I mean, just remember the pictures or our plans about living in the museum and teleporting and everything we ever wrote, full of ideas. Thousand and thousands of ideas. And the braveness? How can I see through the internet, if someone is brave? Let e say you something, this fucking girl wants to become a pilot one day, pilot in the army. She wants to take responsibility for other people, wants to fight for her country. That’s what I call brave. And I’m sure, to 100 %.
For me, Perconte sums up Lydi the best. He's a quite underrated characters. I mean, we all know he's there and we all like/love him, but do we really recognize him or more recognize him enough? Or even worship or thank him? No, not really. It's the same with Lydi. Everybody likes her, but everybody is underrating her and her importance. Often, I catch myself taking her as given, not admitting her as much as I would another person. Maybe it's just me, but you asked me. So Lydi, if you read this. I love you and even if it seems way too often, if I'm not venerating you enough, I do. I really do.
