I misunderstood the meaning of bats and bows😔

This one was fun to work on! The prompt was "covens and cats" from the scary and sweet prompt list. I did "black cat coven" last year, so wanted to make sure this one felt quite different. I had the idea quickly, and liked it a lot!

The challenge this month (late)

"It proved difficult to recover the spaceship, the guardian creature was immovable as well as stubborn."

This is so very much later than I planned! I had COVID, and even after recovering I've been so dreadfully tired, so I didn't have the energy for art beyond doodles in my sketchbook with a biro. I actually had this one planned out a few weeks ago. I might try and do a few more, we'll see! My dad helped give me the idea for this one. The pear is a little nod to the "lol wut" pear by Ursula Vernon.

"Perks of being a reanimated skeleton: chocolate is no longer a dangerous threat."

I came up with this idea after my dad gave me a few suggestions - sometimes discussing ideas really gets the ball rolling! Unfortunately I was pretty tired when I worked on it and got a bit impatient, and smudged the ink a few times. Hopefully it's not too obvious with my white ink cover up!

"Even a two-headed demon can't shrug off their own body weight in liquor, but it sure enjoyed finding out!"

It was a bit difficult to nail down a demon design, initially I experimented a lot with skull heads, but when I doodled this little guy with their stubby little arms I knew I had a winner!
