Ripmien: “listen. listen to me very clearly. ripper is misunderstood. he clearly has terrible parents and does not grasp all social cues. he wants to be loved and to impress others. and he’s managed to do so with axel already. so, who else do you think ripper would set his eyes on?
damien. he is so confused about it. because why damien? when he’s a weird, nerdy guy who’s scared of anything that moves. he doesn’t sound like someone ripper would care for.
but he’s actually much like ripper. because, in their way, they’re both outcats. they both are ridiculed. and yes, damien for his knowledge, ripper for his off-putting nature. but they would understand each other. they could find this weird middle line and become friends. and then they would realize they could be something other than friends.
because ripper is actually likable sometimes. and it’s not his fault when he isn’t the other times. and damien unapologetically likes him. he likes his dumb jokes, the way his stupid hair moves in the wind, how much he actually cares about people and never lets on. and ripper unapologetically likes damien. his weird fun facts that terrify those around him, the rants he goes on that would put anyone else to sleep, his worry for his friends. and together they avtually understand. and they realize that maybe they always have.
