This has been a challenging week, one in which I faced the possibility of a cancer diagnosis after discovering a lump in my breast. I later learned there are two. Today was all about mammograms and ultrasounds, and while I’m not entirely out of the weeds, needing an MRI to be safe, this experience has humbled me. I ran the gamut of emotions, sought peace on the water, danced in the rain, and made a commitment to myself to do all that I am able in order to heal my whole self. To those living with serious illness, you have a place in my heart. To me you are heroes. And to those I shared my situation with, your support has been everything.
