a chill has begun to hang in the air as the season begins to shift in the strange little town. autumn says its farewell and winter begins to creep in. while it might sound like a somber change due to the days growing shorter and the nights longer, there is beauty in the transition. to celebrate the change, several flyers have shown up posted around the town announcing a winter masquerade ball that will be taking place at the town’s city hall on main street. an exciting event where everyone will be able to be someone else for one night is certainly an intriguing way to kick off the season.

starting on december 26th at 7 pm eastern time, we will be having our second event to welcome in the new season. we heavily encourage our members to plot before the event begins and even post pictures and or aesthetics to show what their muses will be wearing to the ball. we will be making a temporary masquerade channel in the discord for everyone to share their outfits. the event will come to an end on january 1st at 3 am eastern time. as always, members are welcome to pause non-event-related threads during that time but are not required to do so. we hope that everyone enjoys this exciting event !

the snowfall that began the night of the masquerade might have been tiny picturesque flakes, but those flakes have long since transformed. the snow’s coming down wet and heavy at a steady pace at this point. the residents of the town find themselves suddenly taking shelter to ride out the unexpected snowstorm, unable to leave the place they’ve decided to camp out due to the visibility being non-existent and the wind chill. no one is sure how long this unforeseen blizzard will last, but until then our residents will find themselves trapped with only the company of one other individual. tempers are bound to flare, friendships formed, and unexpected connections made.

summary: the third event is finally upon us! this event will start on january 13th at 12 am (est) and last until january 20th at 3 am (est). by clicking this link, you will be able to find the randomly generated pairings for the event. communicating with your partners is mandatory for this event. there doesn’t need to be major plotting involved, but you should at least decide who is going to make starters and where your characters are stuck. we encourage fairness in the splitting of starters if possible. if you have any questions at all, please feel free to ask the admin team.

MAGIC HAS A PRICE, that’s a lesson that has to be learned sooner or later. it’s certainly a lesson that dr. facilier and chernabog have come to accept the moment their precious children were whisked away from them, their spell backfiring on them. but this small mishap didn’t prevent them from pushing forward with their devious plans. in order to stop the heroes from searching for their children, they cast another spell that caused them to return to the age they were before their happily ever after began. meaning that all memories of children and or marriage were wiped from their minds. after ensuring that there would be no further interruptions, they set out on tracking down their children. after turning toward facilier’s friends on the other side, a deal was made in order to grant them passage to the world that the children had been trapped in. but as established, payment was demanded for this and the spirits decided that if the villains were being sent to this world then the heroes would be as well. so while facilier was negotiating terms, parents began making their passage to town one by one. starting with chernabog, almost like karma doing its job.

THIS IS A HUGE ANNOUNCEMENT. our first major plot drop is finally here, as of tonight (at 8 pm eastern time) we will be opening for parent applications and parents will be slowly transported to town. we’ll be adding a new application form to the main that can be filled out. all villain characters will still have their memories intact whereas hero characters will return to the age they were before their happily ever afters (keep in mind that we do not allow any characters under the age of eighteen, so aging up is required). “hero” parent intros must include a trigger at the bottom of them which will be the thing that causes them to remember their potential spouse and children — but the trigger cannot be used until you have had said character for at least 2 weeks.

TRAPPED. by now, residents have started to come to terms with the fact that this town may or may not be their home for an undisclosed amount of time. mixed reactions would’ve come with a realization this heavy. sadness, frustration, relief, confusion, determination. while these emotions vary in type, they all have power rooted in them. it was as if the town listened to that silent pull and in the middle of the night, the lights of the abandoned amusement park began to flicker on. the rides that once remained still began to run. while nothing will be able to heal the ache for home, this may or may not be the town’s way of providing the residents with a brief moment of joy and childlike wonder.

summary: we are beyond excited to announce our first event, a carnival event !! we invite your muses to come and enjoy our little amusement park on the edge of town that is now magically up-running. there, your muses will also be allowed to open booths to offer treats and services to park guests. this will lead up to our newly invented jobs page in which your muse can decide to work at one of the established businesses in town or open their own. you can find the link to the job form below. we will also be releasing a similar housing form in the next few days.
