Once again rising with the Sun (not literally, that was too early even for her excitement), Farrah, upon realizing that everything was unpacked and in place, took the time to carefully wash and style her hair, using some of the tips and tricks those online girls with the patience of goddesses share on their Simstagram.
Her curls were looking stunning – and Farrah knew for a fact that a lot of Simfluencers’ photos were photoshopped, but some of the tips had worked! Her timing had been perfect too – Sergio Romeo called a bit later in the morning, apologizing for the spontaneity, and invited her to go to GeekCon, a bi-weekly festival in San Myshuno!
Apologizing to Farrah for being spontaneous? Sergio clearly didn’t know her. How could she miss going to San Myshuno? She’d only been there twice in her whole life, and it was a quick subway ride away from Windenburg. Screw her savings, she’d work twice as hard to make up for it later.
Farrah had a BLAST. She wasn’t a geek by any means – she’d played her fair share of Sims Forever and MySims Go! as a kid, but never obsessively like some of her school friends – but she still had a great time trying and failing miserably to play new games. She was amazed by San Myshuno residents’ talents when it came to tech and rocket science.
On the other hand, Farrah knew she wasn’t in her element – yes, she relied on technology for her job as a digital artist, but she doubted a city skyline would inspire her the same way a trip to Windenburg’s island or its countryside would. She found herself feeling homesick in a way she hadn’t expected to.
She almost – almost – didn’t notice that, whenever he thought she wasn’t looking, Sergio would glance at her for a few seconds. She didn’t get nervous, though. She knew she was pretty, and had gotten pretty good and letting people down without making them feel embarrassed. But did she even want to let him down? He was pretty cute... She thought it would be unwise, however, to get involved with someone so soon after her stay. It’d be better to focus on friendship for now.
Even then, she couldn’t stop thinking about the black-haired woman she had seen at the bar on her first day in town, Jade’s roommate. Maybe it was time she actually paid Jade a visit... They were neighbours, and she had, after all, told her to stop by.
Farrah made up her mind. What’s wrong with pursuing a little homoerotic friendship with a cool girl?
