As Derek tore out of the warehouse toward Erica's house, he had to admit that it felt good to be doing something. Much as he enjoyed ragging on Erica for mothering him, he really hadn't been doing too well with the unusual quiet of Beacon Hills. He'd spent the past few days thinking and it'd only resulted in a bitter taste that he couldn't swallow.
So he was all too happy to have business to take care of again, and the prospect of foreign wolves drifting into town was exciting. If they turned out to be friendlies, they could ally for when the Alpha-pack came; and if they were around to challenge his claim to the town, well, he was always up for a good fight.
When he got to Erica's house, he let out a low whistle, beckoning her outside.
