Let’s Go Fly Fishing: Scenic River Tours
Colorado is widely known for its incredible fly fishing opportunities throughout the state and here in Crested Butte we are fortunate enough to have some of the best fly fishing around. Recently, we got the opportunity to spend some time with Scenic River Tours as they prepared for a fun filled guided fly fishing experience.
Throughout our time, our guide said fly fishing is a great activity to do whether you are a beginner or an advanced fisherman, and Scenic River Tours has just what you are looking for. As a beginner, our guide began to show us the different fly fishing rod types, weights, casting techniques and various flies that were to be used. Once you catch a beautiful rainbow, brown, or cutthroat trout and experience the thrill of reeling the fish in, you will be hooked!
Fly fishing is a fun activity to do while building unforgettable lifelong memories. I spoke with a family who was visiting Crested Butte, and they said they had grown up fishing, but had never fly fished and wanted to share the experience with their children.
