New @scentofsteam album just dropped it’s time for me to be insane!
Music so good I nearly bit off my hands listening to it the first time, I’ve since lost my general sense of how to tell time, and I’m feeling emotions I haven’t recognized since middle school.
11/10
My stand out favorite song so far is Trapped however, if I’m being g honest, trying to pick favorites on this album is like trying to choose a favorite child.
Go listen to Consequence of Truth on Spotify and YouTube.

I maaaay have done a planner doodle of a certain cool person in a certain awesome band hehehe. ✨( ㆁωㆁ)✨

One last song came from the radio That is before it was unusable You told me to know that It all was beautiful This is an Entry for the Scent of Steam art contest, I feel it relates to the song Transmute because it reminds me of how time and the Earth tends to change naturally over the day and even throughout time itself.
CONTEST WINNERS || Scent of Steam
Thank you to everyone who participated in the Scent of Steam art contest for the album release of Consequence of Truth. We appreciate everyone taking the time to listen to the music and create something from what they heard.
The results and band members' commentary are as followed. We will be reaching out to the winners individually as well.
1ST PLACE - @xxmurder-seshxx || ART
Dawn: Its hard to pinpoint what drew this image to me the most. The mix of contrasting blue and red is not only visually appealing, but reflect the vibe of the song Recalibration perfectly. Swapping from one extreme to the next, never knowing where to settle. Also this looks a lot like Ayami Kojima's work, who is one of my favorite artists. This is incredible.
I have an interesting interpretation of this image coupled with the song. The person up top is a reflection of what's going on psychologically inside the person below. Someone who wishes to communicate their thoughts as they fall onto the floor, looking up to see their reflection mouthless and bleeding. Not only bleeding from their vacant heart but also from their eyes. This interpretation is bolstered by the target over their heart, indicating that's what's being focused on. A release of the heart. But the focus in reality is completely missing the person on the bottom. There is little focus on themselves in real life.
Also I think its absolutely awesome these are your OCs.
Adam: I was immediately blown away by this piece. The saturated colors, the dripping, the sharp lines - it feels like a poster illustration. I really like how this one is set up, too, with nothing being upright and targets across the piece. Incredibly detailed work.
2ND PLACE - @lethal-spaceship || ART
Dawn: I know I have made it as a musician because there is Sonic fanart of my music. Okay, but really I chose this for reasons outside of it being Shadow the Edgehog. The faded colors, along with the languid look of defeat on Shadow fit The Tower pretty damn well. Also the lyrics chosen were perfect for the entire vibe of this piece. The destruction in the back shows the chaos that had happened to lead up to this point, which again goes perfectly with the song.
Also its Shadow the Edgehog.
Adam: I really dig the background elements in this piece and the way the ruins look behind the foreground. The smog and smokey feel of this, too, is on-point. A very moving piece, something that fit the vibes perfectly. (Also extra cool points for using an emo hedgehog as part of your muse, very good.)
3RD PLACE - @lil-miss || ART
Dawn: I can't imagine how long this piece took. The fact that this is a 2ft x 4ft TRADITIONAL OIL painting is incredible to me. The level of detail on this intestines is astounding. Its a really interesting and cool interpretation of Trapped. I can see the connections from the lyrics "part of me was missing" to missing organs and eyes. The stitched areas around the left eye are intriguing. Like someone removed it and put something behind the canvas, indicative of the lyrics referencing there being something (a universe) in people's eyes. Lastly, I love the swirl going into the solar plexus.
Adam: I knew the moment that I saw this that it was absolutely going to take place in the contest. It is crazy how it is oil and watercolor on a huge canvas... the amount of work that was put into this is nothing short of incredible. I love the gentle hold of the intestines and the way they spill out of the body. Beautiful work.
HONORABLE MENTION - @nichiperi || ART
Dawn: I had to give this piece a shout out. I love the colors of it so much, as well as the flat disc of chaos in the sky. It fits the entire vibe of the album so well. It feels similar to a freaky meditation I had a while back.
Adam: It's really cool that this is a mesh of traditional and digital work, but the style blends so well together. I am always drawn towards the sky, too - something about that rip in reality and seeing that ominous formation above everything... it deserves recognition, thus why we had to include it as this album's honorable mention spot.

Y’know if I had a nickel for every time I’ve really liked a two person band that consisted of a singer who also plays most of the instruments and some freak on drums, I’d have 2 nickels.
Which isn’t a lot, but it’s weird that it happened twice.
