The first indoor ice hockey game was played March 3rd, 1875 in Montreal at the Victoria Skating Rink. The Victoria Skating Rink was also where the first ever Stanley Cup playoffs took place in 1894. It was also where Lord Stanley, who donated Lord Stanley’s Cup, saw his first hockey game in 1889. [ source ]
Aaaaaaand here we go. Hey, VGK fans (and yeah, I’m a VGK fan, too), you can absolutely love VGK and be proud of what they accomplished this year and be sad that they lost without trashing the Caps. The Caps aren’t assholes because they won. They’re not trash because they beat VGK. VGK don’t suck because they didn’t win the cup.
