Today’s progress - two more pickup motifs from the Anne Dixon book; colors selected for the first tablet woven band in the weave-along. Yarns are Knit Picks Curio crochet cotton, and I ended up using 3 - dk gray (Ash), lt gray (Silver) and the darker almost-purple (I call it plum, but it’s labeled Comfrey). New Schacht inkle loom from @halcyonyarn, ordered *yesterday*, just arrived! Amazingly fast service! I’m astonished at the color change between the okd one and the new one. The tension peg tightener has also changed. I plan to use this one to start a tablet weaving weave-along on YouTube that looks interesting - Weave Along with Elewys ( https://youtu.be/xM_PwRQSfvo ). Texsolv heddles for inkle looms - these heddles measure just over 10.5”. They have a pink tie. Some weaving shops recommend others - green tie, I think, but the loom you have may make a difference. This is a Schacht inkle loom. This project started with a warping error, so I had to pull the warp off & re-warp. Fortunately this is only 79 threads so it didn’t take long. I used slightly less than full length on this inkle loom because this strap is for a child (and it seems I’m always cutting the strap down 10-12” when I make it up anyway). I have also set this up with texsolv heddles, which I LOVE! Warping the #schachtinkleloom for my next project. This time I’m using texsolv heddles instead of string heddles. These had pink ties. I also use a large binder clip to hold threads when needed.
