MR&F NaNo Update: Days 7 & 8

thoughts so far:

i feel like i am hurtling blindfolded through the void, trying to write episode 1 with the barest of outlines. you know that gif of the person laying train tracks in front of a moving train? that’s me trying to plan ahead while staying caught up haha 😭

yesterday i hit yet another wall in ep 1 & i ended up writing various random snippets and drabbles that may or may not even make it into the final draft but they sure were fun

and then last night at like 1am i got a sudden burst of ideas, just enough to fill my word count today, but now i have no idea what i’m gonna write tomorrow aaaAAAH

in plot news: Petra’s plans all go to shit, Finn commits a crime, Azami is suddenly the one talking to plants, and Val is babey.

excerpt:

Something must have changed in Petra’s expression at that moment, because Valyan groaned, “Oh, deities, she’s got her planning face.”

“What’s her planning face?” Azami asked.

“That. That’s her planning face,” Valyan said, grimacing as they watched Petra pick herself off the ground and place her hands on her hips, facing the car with pursed lips.

“I need a map,” she declared. “A new map.”
