Shoes can take up a lot of space, so try to minimize the number of pairs you bring. Depending on what you are planning to do on your trip, wear your walking shoes on the plane so you don’t have to pack them, and take a casual pair of shoes plus thongs or Crocs for the beach.

Leave all the heavy glass bottles at home. Pack your toiletries in plastic travel bottles and bring sample sizes of toothpaste.
