Chen, where did you get the Schimu's name and how poisonous are their feathers?

“Schi” from Favolaschia calocera (mushroom they’re based off of) + “mu” from emu = Schimu.

Their feathers touching your skin can cause a burning rash and if not treated as soon as possible you can get permanent nerve damage. You probably should be wearing a proper protective spacesuit, should you ever visit Roxitox.

Roxitox and its species are slowly being developed. The theme is poison. Mustidust Prime and its species Dustbites are done being thought up, I just need to do a whole doodle page for it.

A weird alien from a poisonous planet called Roxitox. It’s called a Schimu (pronounced shi-moo). It was inspired by tall long birds such as ostriches and emus and these mushrooms. Here are the little points if they’re hard to read.

Its “feathers” are poisonous

It stands from 5-9 feet tall

Lays eggs

Eyelids are sideways

I wanted to include a bit of concept art. It was a bit tough getting the design down.
