School Entry #1 Dear diary.....Today something quite upsetting happended in school. As it does evryday I suppose. The class (including my teacher) began to make fun of feminism, and went on to say how gross it is. I typically do not get that annoyed as I am very used to this behavior in my Private School; but you can have too much of everything. As a Nonbinary feminist, I don't see at all how femisnm is gross. The only thing gross in the classroom today was how many boys agreed with my racist, sexist, homophobic, and biggoted history teacher and his wild conclusions which of so lacked any source of proof, logic, and science. We have a weird system in this country, whereby you can apply to any state school you like, in preference order, and each one is independently assessed so you don't harm your chances of getting into the meh-but-adequate one if you put the amazing one as first choice. You put your actual preferences in their true order, without penalty. No game theory required as it used to be, where nobody dared apply for the stellar schools unless they lived next door, so would apply for the "safety" option first.

This is great in theory. The problem is, it means the competition for the best schools is now staggering. The catchment area for our nearest school, which happens to be rated as Outstanding by the inspection agency, went to half a mile a couple of years ago. This year, they have 70% sibling-reserved places, which meant everyone anticipated it going down a lot more. We put him down for a couple of other great ones, but they're even further away and one is more over-subscribed and the other almost as bad (and he would know nobody, as his preschool is literally next door to the local school, and the combo was why we moved here). That left one rather awful one, which recently had a dire inspection report - a friend whose kid went there has since taken them out and sent them privately because it has issues with bullying. Financially that isn't really an option for us, so it's been a tense week.

Which is a long-winded way of saying that when they said they'd let us know on the 16th, they meant "just after midnight". He's in to the local one, along (hopefully) with almost all his little mates from preschool.

So much of a relief. I'm chuffed to bits. XD

School was okae. I was able to change my schedule. I dropped Jap 2 for Marine Biology. People said it's hard, but it's not really that hard. There's just a lot of work and you have to do some outside activities. I guess I'll double up on math next year.

2nd Day of School

In geometry we took this test but our teacher said he's grading it as an assignment, not a test. I don't know. But whether it's graded as an assignment or a test, I was screwed. I had no math classes last year and I completely forgot everything I learned in Freshmen year. Biology was boring. We had this group project to make a poster of the class rules. I had to draw. It looked ugly. And I misspelled "respect". I forgot the C. -____- Creative writing class was cool. We played this game called Fruit salad and after that we did some other activities. I'm really liking that class. Although I think I really need to break our of my shell because apparently my teacher doesn't like shyness. 

Oh and my counselor denied my request to drop my classes. English 11 Honors is full but that's okae because I'm taking Applied Communications which counts as an English credit. And I was going to drop my geometry class and take another geometry class because I don't like my teacher and  drop Jap 2 and change it to Algebra 2. I think that got confused cuz I think they thought I wanted to drop geometry and take algebra 2 because on my form they said "Need geom before alg 2" or something like that. Whatever. I'll just go to my counselor tomorrow during lunch and talk to her. 

... I hate this school. -____-

First day of school

Morning was alright. I got to see everyone again~ Christine pulled my arm and everyone kept yelling. T___T 

GWii/Homeroom/1st Period aka Geometry: 

Mehh... It was boring. I know a few people there, but I'm pretty much alone. I'm planning on changing my Geometry class to another teacher. My teacher for Geometry is old and mumbles. I can't understand what he's talking about even when I'm sitting in the front.

2nd Period/Biology:

Is it possible to hate a class on it's first day? I think it is. Most of the people in that class are immature Sophomores. -___- Plus my teacher is a Filipino and she has a strong accent. The last time I had a teacher like that for science, I didn't learn anything. Mostly because she gave us the answers to everything lol

3rd Period/Creative Writing:

I'm loving this class already~ xD The teacher is cool and so are my classmates. They're mostly Seniors, but they didn't seem like the intimidating type. They seem pretty friendly. I'm keeping this class.

4th period aka Guam History:

It was cool. We have a different teacher because our original teacher was away and I have no idea when he'll be back. Our teacher now is pretty cool. We played this game where she asks us a question and if it applies to you, then you have to go to one side of the room. If it doesn't, then you go to the other side. I remember one of the questions she asked was "Are you proud to be a Gecko?" or something like that. I went to the side that was "NO". lol Most people did actually.

5th Period/English 11:

Mehh. It was okae. I have one friend in that class, but she's changing her schedule which made me want to change my schedule. I'm thinking about getting English 11 Honors. Call me crazy, but I want a challenge. I'm pretty much digging my own grave.

6th Period/Japanese 2:

OH GOSH HOW I MISS THAT CLASS SO MUCH. But I have to drop it T^T The stupid school messed up my schedule last year so I didn't have any math or science classes. So I have to double up. I'm going to drop my Jap 2 for Algebra 2. It sucks too, because I know a lot of people in that class, and I know it's going to be fun in there. Oh well. Christine said she's going to take Jap 2 next year, so maybe we're going to be in the same class? She better not leave me -____-

Over all the first day of school was okae. And then I had to wait for my sister at her school for like, 2 hours because she has classes. It was raining really hard and I saw lightning and thunder. I was just listening to my phone the entire time. And I was waiting in the cafeteria and there was thing chicken stand right in front of me and my stomach was grumbling so much. ;~; 

... I just remembered  how hungry I am. brb Gonna look for food.
