THE MEALS WERE REQUIRED TO MEET CERTAIN NUTRITIONAL STANDARDS. THE SCHOOL LUNCH PROGRAM WAS VERY SUCCESSFUL AND REACHED OVER 7 MILLION STUDENTS IN ITS FIRST YEAR.
