Judge No. 1

Last night I got to be one of the judges in a high school pageant, Mr. and Ms. IDS 2012. IDS stands for Integrated Developmental School which was where I graduated high school from. 

It was the first time IDS held a beauty pageant during their intramurals so it was definitely an honor to be a part of that event. This is actually my second time to be asked to judge a beauty pageant and I still find it awkward picking out winners when I'm pretty much indecisive myself. Hence I always opt to use pencils because the eraser comes in handy. *laughs* 

Here are the winners of last night's event. I just grabbed these photos from Sir Mark Plaza's Facebook page.

And then here's a photo of me with Sir Mark "LM" Plaza (center) alongside another young judge, Bryan Jumawid. The two of us were both students from high school and at the same time we also joined the Mr. and Ms. PALAKASAN pageant of which Bryan won the title Mr. PALAKASAN 2010.

 I kinda felt a bit overdressed for the occasion because I didn't really get an official invitation nor the memo for the dresscode. They just kinda verbally invited me to judge and so I tried my best to look presentable. Oh well, it's better to be overdressed than be underdressed right? ;)

Little Sis

Guess who jumped on the school pageant bandwagon? 

Everyone meet my little sister Joie Chen.

Yes, now she's the one who's joining yet another pageant. We may bicker and fight a lot but at the end of the day, we're still sisters and we're still family. And family's always help each other out. So if it wouldn't be too much of a bother, would you help me vote for her by LIKING her photo in Facebook? C'mon, why don't we all put our Facebook accounts to use once in a while and help a friend out? Sounds good? then..

MISS CHARITY 2012

I've been on hiatus for quite sometime now because I've been extremely busy with the recently concluded Mr. and Miss MSU IIT 2012 pageant. Even though the pageant's over, I am still busy upholding my duties and responsibilities for  being the 1st Runner Up Miss Charity 2012. 

Here are just some of the photos taken by my friends during the pageant.

I was awarded the Best in Speech along with Mr. CBAA which we won during our Pre-Pageant activities

My partner and I also got an award for Best in Production Number

and again another award for Photographer's Choice along with Mr. SCS

 for our third exposure, we had the College High Fashion representing our College Avatars

Suprisingly, my costume actually won along with Mr. CON

and even more surprising, I became Ms. UNO , one of our major sponsors, along with Mr. SCS

and then I won another award for the Best in Long Gown beside Mr. CON who won the Best in Formal Wear  

and then the selection of the Top 3 began with me being the first to be called out

I on the other hand came in 2nd alongside Mr. CON

Despite not winning the coveted title, Ms. MSU-IIT 2012, I still feel blessed having won so many awards as well as coming in 2nd. The past few  weeks leading up to the pageant were quite exhausting but it all paid out in the end. Plus I've made new friends and new memories - as cliche as it may sound but I really feel blessed for that.
