What Cognitive Functions In School Might Look Like
Saw this thing, so I am going to do this other thing, based on that one thing that I saw, here goes.
Ne: The distracted one, the one who both comes up with so many ideas, like sooo many ideas, but is also unable to focus a lot of the time, often giving the teachers a headache. They’re a bit weird and eccentric and may dabble in either the arts or sciences, in either case they know how liven things up even if they can’t focus on one thing for 30 minutes.
Ni: The Mysterious one... likely... maybe? You’re not entirely sure, no one is entirely sure, as they can switch between being distant yet friendly... or distant and secretive, you’re not entirely sure what the other one is up to, but they do oh so bring up some fascinating conversations and philosophical thoughts from time to time. Also the one who likely has a clearer picture of their future in what they wish to do, and set plans for it in their own special way while gathering the necessary information to do so.
Fi: The daydreamer, the hopeless romantic, the idealist, the person who either constantly questions themselves and who they are, or try and realize themselves in some fashion. The one who is most likely to have more existential crises in their school years before a person who has reached midlife. The biggest question they may ask is “Who am I, and what is my purpose?” Once that is found out in their own way they will ask then instead “Is this truly enough or can I do better?” While suddenly being interrupted from such thoughts via either crashing into something or a sudden fall to the floor via tripping on something.
Fe: The Gossip King or Queen, the duty fulfiller, and oddly enough the sometimes super oppressive friend who has your best interest at heart... or so they say. They don’t mean to do any harm, they are truly interested... at least to some extent in anyone and everyone, and will always have some kind of opinion on anyone they are asked about that they know about. They tend to try to be helpful to both teachers and students a like, and often find themselves in leadership positions so that they can best utilize their method of... helping others, and even if they don’t they are still seen as extremely popular which can sometimes put a blind on their assessment of others.
Si: The extremely detailed one, and likely that person who takes notes... on everything, not only do they take notes on everything, they also make sure to memorize what they need in said notes that they take... on everything, and by everything I mean usually what’s being taught to them. They are the most reliable one to go to when you need to copy notes in a hurry, because you were often too busy doing something else even if you didn’t look like you were busy. Also the one who will stay behind and likely ask for more material so that they can get a better grasp on the subject.
Se: Quite often the star player, cheerleader, or whatever other fun activity is out there for them to try. While Ne may have a hard time staying focused and constantly gets distracted, this one may feel the need to always be on the move... some how. Sitting still bores them, and frankly they’d rather be out in the world experiencing all the thrills and joys life has to give them. While stereotypically seen as the Jock type, they can also seem as the zany type and will be the one who is most often heard saying the phrase. “You have got to try this! No seriously you have... GOT to try this, it is awesome.” or... something along those lines.
Ti: The nerd or geek of the group, in various areas that is, they can come up with some of either the most normal... or strangest hobbies one might imagine, just for the sake of knowing the ever lasting answer of “Why does this do this the way it does it?” Or “Why are things the way they are? And what knowledge can I gather to answer these questions?” They may or may not take notes, and they may or may not pay attention, depending on their interest in the theoretical or physical workings may pay attention, whether or not they pay attention however, they usually are one of the highest marked kids in the class. If there is something they see a bit off, they will quite often test that knowledge against the very teachers themselves.
Te: That person who is most likely your Student President, has seen what they think needs to be done and makes sure it gets done. They don’t have time to dilly dally, there are things to do for heavens sake! What is it man I don’t have all day! Type of people, This is the other one who gets high marks in the school, and is often a valedictorian of their school. Will often likely have a love hate relationship with Ti, as there is so much knowledge... at least in the mind of Te that Ti should really be putting to use, while Ti simply shrugs and saves it for later reference. Despite that, Te will also jump at the chance to bring Ti into their group due to being able to bring up anything Te missed... that Te can use.
