‘The importance of dancing like an idiot‘ - School of Life
‘Dancing is one of the most releasing and necessary of all activities - but we too frequently hold back from the worry that we 'can't dance.' This film usefully reminds us that there's no such thing as not being able to dance, that the whole point is to move about wildly without shame - and that in doing so, we connect with others and with important forgotten bits of ourselves’

* Julia Riddiough is an artist, Permaculture and body practitioner, creating photography, film, performance and interactive projects which are curated and exhibited in the UK and internationally. Her current focus is on expanding her work to put the principles of Permaculture - earth care/people care/future care - at the heart of her art-life-life-art practice, making works that reflect these themes at the intersection of art, activism and action.
Part of this new development includes YOGA ACTS & DANCE ACTS (resources for self- reliance) partnering with artists, art projects and communities in the form of experiences which broaden our encounters with art, our environments and ourselves, and designed as platforms for creative exploration, connection and embodiment.
YOGA ACTS & DANCE ACTS are holistic body practices, toolkits for diversity and ethical living where we find everything is supported and interconnected. Interweaving these disciplines with art actions and programming can positively inform and empower as wellas being transformative acts in themselves.
