There's a kind of overwhelm one rarely names, for it doesn't look like suffering from the outside: the overwhelm of awakening arriving faster than the Self can integrate it. An opening arrives — through practice, grief, &/or some sudden thinning of the veil — and the insight is real & beautiful, but also far more than the everyday personality knows how to carry.
One's instinct is sometimes to push toward more :: more opening, more seeking, more light. Yet the Vedic understanding offers something steadier: realization isn't the destination, embodiment is; the awakening wants to become livable, woven into how one speaks & rests & moves through an ordinary Tuesday. Fire, left to itself, consume; but, met with the grounding of Earth and the rhythm of the breath, it becomes warmth one can live beside.
The work of this season isn't to reach higher, for it's to let what one has already glimpsed descend gently into the body, the days, the lived, and particular life.
Trust says: Let’s see.
Fear says: Let’s make sure.
Trust says: I’ll know if I need to pivot.
Fear says: I must know before I begin.
Trust says: God will meet me there.
Fear says: I need proof first.
Support also looks like:
The heartbreak that revealed where self-trust was missing.
The money fears that revealed where survival was running the show.
The relationship conflicts that revealed where your needs were being negotiated away.
The desires that kept calling you toward expansion.
Real gratitude is the recognition of support not the absence of desire.
Instead of asking:
Why is this happening to me?
You’re increasingly asking:
How is life supporting me through this?
I am ascending to a higher plane
You will always experience the abundance of life, not because every desire has been fulfilled, but because you know and decide that you will not abandon yourself in any of those processes.
Abundance is NOT: I got everything I wanted.
Abundance is: I did not have to lose myself to participate in life.
This is what I mean when I say your authentic self is your abundant self.
Your authentic self is defined by your relationship you have with yourself.
It is determined by your authority - the willingness and decision to NOT abandon yourself as you participate in life.
The biggest scarcity is losing that relationship with yourself.
