I’m Back!
Okay, so after my GCSEs finished i took a semi-break from tumblr and basically neglected this blog and my inbox. HOWEVER I am back now and will be posting regularly again :) I basically want to say thank you so so so so so much for all the lovely messages people have sent me. I cannot tell you how much I appreciate chatting to you guys- I love being able to answer your questions and also just talk about things in general! I am so sorry that I have ignored my blog and inbox, but I can't wait to start posting again.
Hi. x I'm new to this studyblr thing and I'm wondering how other studyblr peeps actually sit down and do all of their regular homework. Any tips? Thanks
Hey welcome to the studyblr community :)
Anyway when it comes to regular homework, I think it can be a struggle for everyone, especially when you don't enjoy the subject. However, here are some tips that may help you however:
Start with the easiest/ most enjoyable piece. Okay, I know many people will say start with the hardest pieces to get it out the way. However, I always find actually starting the homework the hardest part, so getting stuck into an easy worksheet can get you in the right frame if mind for the rest of the night!
Set goals. Tell yourself what you want to finish in the day. Be ambitious, but not unrealistic. Write a list and cross each item off once you’ve finished it- it'll be great motivation and extremely satisfying seeing a completed list.
Rewards. Simply tell yourself that once you’ve finished this english essay for example, you can watch one episode of a show. Setting these rewards for yourself will motivate you to work faster to reach your prize.
Make it enjoyable. This is what helps me the most. You just have to try and make homework as fun as possible so it does not seem like a chore- this will make it easier to do your regular homework, as you won't be dreading it! Make your study time more pleasant by lighting a scented candle, using lovely stationary, listening to a film soundtrack, being in cosy clothes and of course loads of food!
Anyway, I hoped these tips helped you with your homework, and once again welcome to the studybly community- I hope it helps you!! :)
It's my first GCSE tomorrow so I just want to say GOOD LUCK to everyone else doing exams over the next month or so- You'll be amazing!!!! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Just finished my drama controlled assesment which is 30% of my grade done! I'm happy with how it went and it means now I can focus on my German CA which is on Monday.
