time to pass out for the night bc i just chugged a spoonful(??) of nyquil, but last thought- at this point if u wanna ship w al, just lmk tbh. i got so strict with romance on my blog, but yknow what i like romance so.
i read a really good article recently about purging the word “savage” from our vocabularies particularly in this moment of a white supremacist resurgence, and it reminded me of the class i took on us militarization where my prof asked us to examine the way we speak and the words we use and try to de-militarize our own vocabulary (which is functionally impossible given that english is like...fundamentally a colonialist imperialist language but she was talking relatively benign things like “shoot” “i bombed that test” etc etc stuff like that). in a general sense i worry that for some policing language like that becomes a source of shame and guilt but like i do think it’s a valuable and important vector of personal and political transformation to be more cautious about the words we use [shrug emoji]

this is absolutely blowing my intention of never putting my name on my blog but i want feedback. i need business cards cuz i’m going up to sacramento and i need to step up my networking game, so this is my pitch. keep it simple with my info on one side and the Ever Beautiful californian flag on the other side
it’s either this or i can get a pretty design or art of some kind but idk what to get that would be aesthetically pleasing and still relevant/professional
also idk what to put on my business card cuz i am currently just a lowly undergrad
