Alex Kralie from Marble Hornets is a True Komaeda!

I love the android Gordon AU! I'm curious: once Dr. Vance realizes Gordon is self - aware, how does he go about "parenting" an adult - human - sized robot?
I asked Frankie once again, bc he’s got the big brain ideas for this au
Frankie: Hm! Well. It's definitely kind of an odd adjustment for him- he's literally in the middle of being a dad at the level where that involves a lot of playing with blocks, and reading stories, and trying to model empathy to a tiny powerful creature that doesn't understand Dont Tug On Dads Hair, Please.
Frankie: But I think, at least at first, it was kinda the same with Gordon! Either in the HEV stage, or maybe even a pre-HEV form while they were making sure the AI would be safe with that much power under the hood. Like years before he was in the humanoid form, probably before he was even installed in the HEV suit, his program was prob a lot simpler! So for a while he was like. A little simple face on a computer monitor hooked up to a speaker they were trying to get to be able to understand vocal commands. So it wasn’t a completely jarring ‘turn on a switch and Oh God An Adult Person That Is Functionally my Child’.
Frankie: At first he was something a little simpler- and I think Eli always treated him with a lot of love and patience, which in turn helped Gordon develop into a person as he built up experiences and grew more complicated. But it’s still pretty jarring- by the time he was in the HEV suit it is more or less Whoops! You Have an Adult Son Now.
Frankie: So I guess in short, he did have a LITTLE run up but like. The answer to ‘How did Eli handle that’ is ‘screaming internally, getting help from the people around him’, just like any other parent. The answer to ‘how does he parent him’ in a nuts and bolts way is ‘by answering A Lot Of Questions, trying to give good advice, and firm hugs’.
For the MH prompts request: Something that explores Jay's interests that don't directly involve the investigation. ( Maybe something post - series, with Jay trying to figure out and / or remember what else he likes beyond Things Directly Related To Alex Kralie. )
I have NO IDEA IF THIS IS WHAT YOU WANTED
I'm spending (part of) my Saturday repairing broken props I got for Halloween that I either didn't get to use, that I used while broken, or that broke while I was using them. ( r. i. p. jersey devil tail; you lasted less than five minutes before falling apart. )
Damn idk what I love more, the fact that you have several halloween costumes youve dedicated your time to mending, or the fact you specifically have a Jersey Devil costume?! That sounds lovely and therapeutic as hell.

Thanks, @schrodingers-rufus, for influencing me to post this.

(runs straight into the Cranium Command pavilion) I LIVE HERE NOW!
Skeletons!
Home Depot has a baby skeleton horse now, in case your full-size skeleton horse wants to experience the joy of parenthood. (Ok, it’s sold as a pony and not as a foal- but come on, who doesn’t want a skeleton horse family?)
They also have accessories for your skeleton horse- you can go with scary reaper-esque horsie or western horsie. (H/T to @schrodingers-rufus!)
But if you aren’t a horse person... well... maybe you’re a dinosaur person?
In that case, they also have a nine-foot “T. rex.”
And I thought the horses had some anatomy problems...
