Today, at the Wilkes Barre Veterans Affairs (VA) Hospital, I was evaluated and found to qualify for Gulf War Illness benefits… not something to be celebrated, but something that will gain me access to resources I’ll need. After a couple hours this past Friday at the Pottsville LVHN ER, and a 5-hour VA ER visit today, I have been forced to reevaluate my priorities, here in my Military retirement. Earlier today, I resigned as the Borough of Shenandoah, PA Planning Commissioner. I will gladly and gratefully remain the Borough of Shenandoah Civil Service Commissioner and am in the process of completing training/certification in the Pennsylvania Civil Service systems/processes. I look forward to serving the Borough for many years as your Civil Service Commissioner. Have a great day, and ever better tomorrows. v/r Steve #ShenandoahPROUD #SchuylkillPROUD (at Shenandoah, Pennsylvania) https://www.instagram.com/stephenstroble/p/CX2lxegNgwp/?utm_medium=tumblr
