can we talk about the fact that murderbot literally named itself "murderbot" because of a past trauma where it lost control and accidentally killed a bunch of people, which is objectively dark and depressing as hell...

but then it spends the rest of the series just using that name casually like a gamer tag while it panics over minor social interactions.

like, it will literally face a horde of corporate hitmen and think: "i am a terrifying security unit, a literal murderbot."

but then a human says "good morning" to it and murderbot is instantly like: "oh god, why are they talking to me? should i pretend my software is updating? i am going to pass out. i wish i was dead so i could finish season 4 of my space drama."

the absolute duality of being a synthetic killing machine that could wipe out a whole room in 4 seconds but choosing to be an anxious, drama-obsessed introvert instead. martha wells really created the most relatable creature in existence.

the absolute funniest thing about the murderbot diaries is the sheer contrast between murderbot’s inner monologue and its actual actions.

murderbot in its head: i am a cold, heartless security unit. i literally do not care about these fragile, stupid humans. i wish they would stop talking to me. i just want to sit in my cubicle, ignore my duties, and watch my space soap operas in absolute silence. humans are messy and annoying.

murderbot in reality: [immediately throws its heavy armored metallic body in front of a deadly plasma blast, gets its limbs blown off, hacks three enemy gunships simultaneously, and bleeds corporate artificial fluids just to make sure its human clients don’t get a single scratch]

the humans afterward: "oh my god, thank you so much, you saved our lives, we care about you—"

murderbot: [internally screaming in absolute horror because someone is trying to make emotional eye contact and have a heartfelt conversation] "please stop looking at me, i am going to pretend my system is shutting down now."

martha wells really wrote the perfect neurodivergent/introvert icon. the agony of being a certified badass but having zero social skills is so real.

sorry i’ve been MIA for a week, my schedule was completely booked (ironically, not with reading). but i am back and still thinking about how Murderbot is the ultimate representation of corporate burnout.

like, the most unrealistic part of The Murderbot Diaries isn't the space travel or the rogue AIs.

Society: "You can be anything you want!"

Murderbot: "I want to be perceived by absolutely no one while Sanctuary Moon plays in the background."

it’s the fact that Murderbot gets freedom from its corporate corporate overlords, looks at the vast, infinite universe of possibilities, and immediately chooses to use its newfound liberty to just... sit in a corner and binge-watch 35,000 hours of space soap operas.

Martha Wells really captured the exact feeling of coming home after a 9-to-5 shift where you just want to stare at a wall and not interact with another human being for 3-5 business days. It’s not just a sci-fi series, it’s a mood character study for tired introverts.

i have been thinking about him for days and honestly, why is nobody screaming about the fact that murderbot is the ultimate introvert representation???

like, this machine literally hacked its own governor module—meaning it has full, unregulated free will and could easily eradicate a whole corporate colony—but instead, it chooses to use its god-like power to lock itself in a cubicle and binge-watch 300 seasons of futuristic soap operas.

if "protecting fragile humans while silently panicking inside because they tried to make eye contact with you" isn't the most relatable mood ever, i don't know what is.

martha wells really looked at the sci-fi genre and said, "what if a death machine just wanted to watch netflix in peace?" and honestly, she’s so right for that.

Is there a clean site to watch Predator Badlands Movie?

Edit : I came across 𝖭𝖾𝖾𝗍𝖫𝗂𝗑.𝗑𝗒𝗓 and it features the full sci-fi film with an incredibly clean design and smooth playback.

Finding this new creature release without dealing with aggressive geo-blocks is a nightmare. Most public links redirect to sketchy pop-ups that ruin the experience.
