Merry Christmas! Have a Jayvik under the mistletoe
The universe sings «The East is Red».
On 24 April 1970 the People's Republic of China successfully launched its first space satellite, the Dong Fang Hong 1 (东方红一号), carried by the first expendable launch rocket of chinese manifacture, the Long March 1. As the PRC was trying to catch up with both the USSR and the USA, the satellite was the last step of a path that began with the building of China's first atomic and hydrogen bombs, all meant to show off that China could "stand on its own legs", despite the Sino-Soviet Split, the lack of assistance from other countries and the threats of the USA.
After its launch the Dong Fang Hong 1, equipped with a radio transmitter, started broadcasting into the outer space the famous Cultural Revolution song "The East is Red", from which it took its name, and continued to do so for 20 days, while the team of the space program listened and recorded it from their base in Jiuquan, Inner Mongolia.
On that day the People's Republic of China became the 5th nation in the world to indipendently place a satellite into orbit, following the USSR, USA, France and Japan.
The most Jayvik coded song to ever exist :') Please watch in HD! If you enjoy it please help me get noticed since I have zero reach :'3 I might edit and polish it a bit more

SPOILERS for outer wilds. Don't read unless you've played it.
Outer Wilds is really a memento Mori like no other. Many narratives describe death, show grief, sometimes in beautiful ways. And you may feel it empathetically, you may ever cry. But there's still a barrier between you and it. It is not actually happening to you. Outer wilds induces the 8 stages of grief in you, completely naturally. You don't even realise that's what's happening.
Of course the game understands what's happening, and it respect you so much. It's not tragic or morbid. In fact it never frames what's happening as 'sad' per say. It's just happening. It's so gentle with the subject matter and you don't understand why until the end. Outer wilds put a lot of the chaos of real life grief into perspective in such a kind way. Invaluable for my personal development honestly.
i know it's just bc they're so comically shippable and that era of pop music was so heavily about love and longing but i want to be freed from the constant realizations of "wow this is so garashir coded" every time i hear any song from 2003-2012

Question:
Is it canon that Brittana was called Santitany? I feel like it was but I can’t place the episode or who said it? Maybe Rachel? Or maybe I’ve lost it lol.
