The carnivore diet is a form of keto diet with no real proof of health benefits.
A keto diet is a low-zero carb diet. These are NOT healthy for you unless cleared by a doctor. Check with a dietitian before going on any sort of diet <3
First! Lets talk about carbs, aka carbohydrates.
What are they? They are a macromolecule and are needed for our bodies! Sugars, starches, and fibers are carbs. We need sugar for fuel, starch for energy, and fiber for digestion and feeling full!
Of course, there are different kinds of sugars which can leave you feeling bleh and maybe even hungrier but we still need sugar!
The carnivore diet is about eating all animal products, no plants, sugars, high lactose dairy products, and any drink that isn't water. (Of course the carnivore diet can be modified to maybe include some of these things but it still is not healthy)
Do animal products have carbohydrates?
NO... NOT REALLY.
Animal products such as meats have little to no carbs. This diet is HIGH in protein, fat, and sodium, but LOW in carbs (so sugars, starches, fibers...) and certain vitamins. And of course, too much of anything (including protein, fat, and sodium, and hell the vitamins found in animal products) is not healthy.

Of course you can absolutely eat CERTAIN things raw if they are graded for that.
Eggs, steaks, fish... These are often eaten raw but really you shouldn't constantly eat raw foods.
Things like poultry and pork are NOT SAFE eaten raw no matter what.
Animal organs can probably be eaten raw if they are good quality.
TLDR
The carnivore diet has no real proof of it being healthy. Talk to a doctor before starting a diet.
You don't get enough of certain vitamins, carbs, and if eating a raw diet, you can get sick. You can also get too much protein, fat, and sodium, which also isn't good.

I will have a meltdown; preventing food wastage will solve the food crisis!! We produce more food than we eat, and more importantly, we throw away more food than we eat! Focus on solutions that are already at hand! You don’t do much for the food crisis if larger amounts of produced food are still going a waste; that just drains more resources and potentially creates more waste: both of food and the resources used to grow food! It’s more pollution too: if a new plant needs new resources (what in the software industry is called a non-backward compatible change), then the old ones we have already produced go a waste, to an extent. A brand new demand means you need more things to set the wheels in motion. I am not against the research going into this, but I don’t like this way of framing the outcome. It doesn’t help until you can actually get this food across to people. I don’t understand why preventing food waste and food rot isn’t our proposed solution instead.
If you are only assigning your initials to your data, or putting your name in like it’s a journal citation, please know you are a pox on this earth, that your data has no long term validity, that it cannot be properly archived, and that in a measly 20 years the idea of your very being will be screamed to the heavens in a litany of curses that would make the most hardened of sailors blush.
