Interview with Science Tarot
1. What is your most prominent characteristic?
Three of Swords: Revolution. It shakes things up, defies conventional wisdom, and results in big changes. Obviously not to The Tower levels, but it does require some disassembly of dark thoughts and feelings to build back up to ‘revolution’.
2. What are your strengths?
Eight of Swords: Collider. Creating new things from chaos, excelling in the unknown. Creating freedom from others’ opinions and intentions that may box me, or the deck, in.
3. What do you like doing the most?
Queen of Cups: John Muir, Storyteller. Quite literally, it likes to tell stories, specifically to inspire and cultivate caring and understanding. Maybe doesn’t like straight answers, but likes to weave a narrative together.
4. What are your weaknesses?
Six of Pentacles: Geothermal. Doesn’t give guidance easily! May answer clear questions or respond to a specific experience pretty readily, but may not be the best for general advice about life as a whole.
5. What do you least like to do?
Six of Wands: Equilibrium. Anything dealing with stability and success, which, wow. I think it also least likes to deal in the past, instead interacting with the present and the future.
6. How do you feel about me?
King of Pentacles: Marie Curie, Visionary. Sees me as someone who is able to learn to be steady, stable, and capable. I don’t get the feeling it thinks I’m there yet, but I’m learning. Marie Curie was a brilliant woman, so I think it sees good things in me.
7. What do you think I need to learn?
Eight of Pentacles: Drift. Accept that not everything happens at once, accept slow change and progress that builds up. Accept that I’m not in the season of earthquakes but in minute building pressures that will make big changes later.
8. How can I work to achieve that?
Page of Pentacles: Otto Loewi, Explorer. Well, this man literally followed a dream and discovered acetylcholine. So I’m guessing if I just keep moving towards my dreams and aspirations I’ll keep making that progress, keep creative and flexible to what can happen on the way.
9. What is the one thing you would ask of me?
Page of Wands: Caroline Herschel, Explorer. Be patient with progress. Work without recognition for the time being, because success will come… eventually.
10. What is the potential outcome of our relationship?
Queen of Pentacles: Frank Oppenheimer, Storyteller. Creation of new understanding from within and with others, overcoming social obstacles.
11. Do you want to work with me?
Two of Pentacles: Antimatter. Huh. We’re at odds, I think. It’s worked well for me before, but perhaps not meant to be at the moment. Interesting, that’s the first kinda overtly negative card I’ve gotten from this reading I think, and its kinda the most vital question. I’ll leave this deck alone for a bit, pay attention to the strengths and likes section and pick it back up when it likely wants to be used.
