It had been quite a while now since Skye had joined Coulson’s team in S.H.I.E.L.D., her experience with all the interesting things she had only imagined to be involved in was ultimately overwhelming for her. Crazy missions scaling from ‘invisible terrorists’, going under cover like a real agent, rogue agents causing all sort of problems to innocent people getting in trouble because of her past flings…yeah, her life had made an interesting turn. Despite the missions of chaos and insanity, the team she was on board with proved to be rather unique themselves. They were like a crazy, dysfunctional family that the hacker never had. Mommy May, Daddy Coulson, big brother Ward and the pseudo-twin geeks. The thought of Team AC, as she’d call it, brought a smile to her face.
Said team was out for the day, leaving the femme to her own workings on the bus. Since she seemed to betray Coulson’s trust and revealed an earth shattering truth, everyone seemed to act a bit weird around her so she was glad for the solitude she was granted for the time being. Being banned from the computers without supervision, her boredom grew to an extent but everything else was fair game. Skye had already gone through snooping through Ward’s things, finding a few interesting things about the male that she could use later as some sort of teasing blackmail, explored the antiques in Coulson’s office and was now wandering around the FitzSimmons lab.
In this contained space, she inspected some of the neat things that the duo had worked on together, amazed by the technology that they could construct between the two of them. A sense of jealousy struck within Skye at the thought. She was always on her own, never relying on anyone and here, Scotland and England flowed with such sync that anyone could envy. Shaking her head, the hacktivist tried to push out those ill intended thoughts just as she stumbled upon a few books hidden within one of the cabinets. “Strange place to keep things like this…” Pulling several of them, they were set upon the table while the brunette scanned through the pages curiously. Most of them were notes on ideas for new weapons technology. These had to be Fitz’s. The sketches weren’t half bad but the text was like a foreign language to her. Ward was right when he would comment about them needing to speak ‘English’. Grabbing the stool, she pulled it up to sit upon while sifting through the various pages. Apart from the flooded content of the geeky language, she took notice of a few personal notes that were scattered across the sheets throughout the journal. “What is this about?” She wondered aloud, stumbling across several little self-drawn comics toward the end of one of the books. This was a random discovery. Some of the images reflected superheroes such as Thor and Iron Man while others were of Team AC in general. Finding this rather fascinating since the other members of the team didn’t personalize like this, Skye remained perched in the lab, reading over the comics to pass a bit of the time.
