Lots of people are hating on Snape and it kind of makes me sad. What do you think about the hate?

Ugh, they can dislike Snape all they want, I don’t care about that. The shit that some of them come out with is a load of fanon crap anyway and it’s almost laughable. They’ll write out essay length posts about why you shouldn’t like him in the Snape tag and it’s just like why????? People are in that tag to look up things about a character they like, they’re not in that tag to be lectured about why you’re a horrible person if you like a certain fictional character.

Y’know, everyone’s allowed their own opinions and I can see how people dislike him cause he was an arsehole. But as soon as these people bring the fans into the argument and criticise us, belittle, say something is wrong with us for liking a fictional character then I’m sorry but they’ve crossed a line and can fuck off. Some of the things they’ve said are horrendous. No one should be made to feel like shit for loving something that makes them happy. But those people don’t get it and seem to feel like they have to shove those insults in your face and belittle you just because you like a character that they don’t.
