Week two of my anode experiment. While the copper itself isn't actually corroding, the magnesium appears to be plating the copper as it break down. Fascinating. The control is showing the early stages of patination. A foggy pinkish hue. I'm really surprised how fast these reactions are occurring. I'll need to run the anode at least a few feet away from the copper though as this will not work as is. Getting ready to science the shit out of galvanic corrosion. Our Wimmer pool (located in the courtyard of @panama66sdma) is the home for our #clairefalkenstein Acceleration Point sculpture. I want to see how effective the introduction of an anode will be to slow down the corrosion of this copper piece. Pushing it quite a bit by using the most anodic metal there is, sweet sweet #magnesium.
