Day 11 - Science Bro’s

„Brucie Bear!“

Bruce ducks at those words and he can feel the blush already on his cheeks. God why is Tony always so loud and cheery and also stunning and very beautiful. Bruce shakes his head.

„Yes Tony?“ Bruce asks, when Tony sits down next to him on the couch. Bruce was working on a few formulas, but he knows he can’t finish them with Tony so close.

„I have a wonderful idea.“ Tony says happily and he even clasps his hands. 10/10 ideas from Tony that are „wonderful“ are bad. Bruce helps him every time anyway. They both know that.

„Your ideas always make someone cry.“ Bruce mutters, but he still smiles at Tony, who sulks a bit at that.

„That’s not true! Everyone loves our movie nights. That was my idea.“ Tony says and Bruce sighs. Actually that was Steve’s idea, but he doesn’t want to correct Tony.

„Usually the one crying is me.“ Bruce says and Tony presses against his right side. Tony puts an arm around Bruce shoulders and then even presses his check against Bruce’s.

„Promise. I don’t make you cry. Please?“ Tony begs and when he glances up at Bruce, he even bats his eyelashes. Bruce sighs loudly, god why is he in love with an idiot.

„Fine.“ Bruce says, because he doesn’t really cry about Tony’s idea, even though it’s a close call sometimes.

„Yay! I need you outside in 10 minutes and uh… wear something more warm.“ Tony says and for a moment Bruce thinks, that Tony checks him out. He looks Bruce up and down, but before Bruce can react with blushing or embarrassing stuff like that, the moment is gone and Tony runs out of the room.

„I knew this was a bad idea.“ Bruce says, when he is outside a few minutes later. Because right there in front of him is a snowmobile. A real damn snowmobile.

„Brucie!“ Tony squeals, when he comes outside, too. He wears new sunglasses now, they are yellow and Tony’s brown eyes look even bigger now. Bruce nearly reaches out for the sunglasses. In the end he doesn’t.

„You can’t be serious.“ Bruce says and then points at the snowmobile. He knows how Tony drives his car, he wouldn’t survive a damn trip on that thing. Not to mention the Hulk.

„Why not? I wanted to surprise you.“ Tony says and now he doesn’t sound happy anymore. He almost sounds sad and when Bruce looks back at him, Tony looks down and fumbles with the hem of his jacket.

„Oh that’s… well that’s very nice from you.“ Bruce stammers and he is now even more nervous. Tony smiles a bit, but it doesn’t reach his eyes. Bruce can see that even though Tony still wears the sunglasses.

„I just wanted us to have… some time together.“ Tony tries again and this time Bruce could swear that Tony is the one who blushes. But maybe Bruce just wishes for that and Tony is only cold.

„I get that and I would like to spend some time with you… but I don’t think the Other Guy would like this.“ Bruce tries again and Tony frowns at that. He doesn’t seem to like that answer.

„I bet he would. I miss my second favorite avenger by the way.“ Tony says and he smiles cheekily at Bruce. Bruce huffs at that, because why would the Hulk be his second favorite one? Why would he be.a favorite at all?

„You should tell him. He would be proud to take the place after our dear captain.“ Bruce says then and he shrugs. He feels the Hulk in his mind and he feels, how happy he is around Tony. Like always.

„After… what?“ Tony asks back and he seems a bit offended.

„Well since Steve was your childhood hero and…“ Bruce starts, but Tony shakes his head so hard, that he stops talking mid sentence. Tony grins.

„You are my favorite Avenger, you idiot.“ Tony says and he even giggles at that. Bruce is sure the blush goes down to his toes. What the hell did he do, to have Tony Stark in his life? He never felt this happy before.

„Oh.“ Bruce says then and he has to laugh, too.

„So you up for a ride?“ Tony waggles his eyebrows at that and Bruce smacks his shoulder for that. He knows he really should say no, but he really wants to spend time with Tony.

„Alright. But I’m only doing this for you.“ Bruce says and he takes his glasses off, so they wouldn’t break or something. Because that happens a lot around Tony. Bruce can see without them good as well, he just needs them for reading.

„Thank you! You can drive.“ Tony says happily and Bruce is a bit surprised by that. Normally Tony never lets anyone drive him. Not even his chauffeur Happy.

„Okay.“ Bruce says and he sits down on the snowmobile. Tony does so too and he sits in front of Bruce. For a moment Bruce wonders how the hell he should drive this thing, if Tony is in front of him. But then Tony leans back against Bruce Belly and Bruce can easily reach the handlebars.

„That feels nice.“ Tony whispers and Bruce tries very hard not to freak out. He is sure Tony can feel his heartbeat. Tony cuddles even closer and Bruce starts the snowmobile. He doesn’t drive fast, because he is afraid Tony could fall down, because the idiot has his hands on Bruce thighs. He doesn’t even hold on, he just strokes slowly over them. It’s driving Bruce mad.

Bruce doesn’t realize how long they are driving like that, but when the sun goes down, he stops at a hill. For a moment they are just sitting there and watching the sunset. Then Tony sits up and turns a bit around.

„Uhm… please tell me that I’m doing the right thing.“ Tony says and a second later he is kissing Bruce. It takes him a few minutes to get over the fact, that Tony Stark is kissing him, but then Bruce kisses him back just as sweet. He carefully puts his hand on Tony’s hip and Tony has one hand on Bruce’s burning cheek.

„Wow.“ Bruce mutters in their kiss and Tony giggles. They break the kiss then and Tony smiles so beautifully, that Bruce has to laugh too. He can’t believe his life turned from a horror movie to a superhero movie to a romantic one.

But Tony’s hand is still on his cheek and Bruce can’t stop smiling at him. Tony doesn’t feel different.

In your Medical!AU imagine Tony always going to Bruce for 'therapy and advice' and Bruce will always listen but end up zoning out and keeps reminding Tony that, 'I'm sorry. I'm not that kind of doctor. I'm not a therapist. It's not in my training I don't have the-' "What, the time?" '-Temperament.'

Yes! I can imagine that after a long day of running around and shifts, he just walks into Bruce’s office and slumps on his chair before pouring his heart out about anything and everything. Bruce would also go ‘Don’t you have, you know, Steve for this?” And Tony would sigh before going ‘He’s busy checking out the pediatric ward to see if the children are okay.” 

I can just imagine Bruce being everyone’s go to guy when they need to relieve stress or simply just chat. Bruce doesn’t mind but he can’t give them the proper help because he’s ‘not that kind of doctor’.  xD

(Also, the science bros goofing around in the labs during their break times. I can so imagine that.)
