Watch out, Skylanders Academy! Together, they’re going to invent something really destructive and explosion-filled! I just love that, in-canon, Mags and Dr. Krankcase know each other and went to Inventor’s School together (and Dr. Krankcase sounds really happy about this too), because I just think it’s adorable that the two main Skylanders scientists know each other and have such similar tastes in fashion. I just imagine Mags being Dr. Krankcase’s biggest supporter and totally stuck up for him anytime someone doubted that he could ever reform and start doing good things with his life. College besties forever.

#Scientember Day 3 - Dr. Viper from Swat Kats! I’m...actually really surprised I’ve never drawn this guy until now. He’s one of my favorite characters and I actually own his bulky action figure. Also I remembered too late that he...doesn’t actually have back spikes. Maybe he drank a Viper Mutagen just for this purpose?

Here’s #Scientember  Day 2 - Baxter Stockman from the 1987 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. I actually didn’t grow up with this show but I bingewatched a good amount of it like four-five years ago and I love the angry fly dude.

#Scientember Days 4 and 5 - Mags and Dr. Krankcase from the Skylanders franchise! You’re just seeing the inks of this because...I ended up liking this sketch so much that I’m going to make it a full-fledged drawing but I did want to post it just for posterity and to honor Scientember. I just love that the two inventors in the Skylanders franchise have ridiculously tall hats and I wanted to draw them together. And this pose made me realize that they both have a similar taste in gloves. ...I guess that’s what happens when you go to same inventor’s school together.

For the month of September, I decided to do a monthly challenge for myself. In #Scientember, I’ll attempt to draw as many mad scientists as I can, just as quick warm-ups, in an attempt to get me to art faster because I’ve been really slow on drawing as of late and need a good kick in the pants. Anyways, here’s Day 1 - Bushroot from Darkwing Duck! I had to make him first because I think he’s the reason I like mad scientists as a character trope.
