Hey Wil, you'd asked me to follow up in a few weeks. I've changed meds and that's going well. I'm on the tail end of a huge vacation with friends, and while there were a few hiccups, it seems to be exactly what I needed to give my brain a chance to reset. It helps to remember that there are always people who care, sometimes you just have to find them.

This is such good news! I’m so grateful that you chose to share this with me, and I know you’re going to be inspiring to other people, because you chose to share your story. When I promise that it’s going to get better, and that the bad times are not forever, you are who I am talking about!

You'd asked people to check in with mental health updates. I don't know if I've told you things were bad before, but the good news is that I've started medication and things are slowly getting better. Thank you so much for caring about your followers, it's just so nice.

I am so proud of you! I know from firsthand experience how scary and uncertain it feels to start meds. Please remember that it takes our brains a little while to adjust, and the first thing we try may not be the best match for our individual brains. Your doctor can work with you to help you figure out what, exactly, works best for you.

Check back in with me in a few weeks, and let me know how it’s going, okay?

1. Favorite book? When She Woke, by Hillary Jordan. Dystopian society where the line between church and state has been obliterated and instead of imprisoning criminals they genetically alter the color of their skin based on the class of their crime and release them back into society...you should read it. Oh! And if you have read either Scarlet Letter or Handmaid's Tale you will be able to spot some pretty nifty parallels.

2. Favorite fantastical/historical/otherwise non-extant location? Hogwarts.

3. Favorite historical period (eg, the French Revolution, Warring States Period in Japan)? Probably Elizabethan England because of reasons.

4. Chocolate? Yes (is that how you answer this question?). Milk chocolate is the best chocolate, especially if it is minty... or if it contains caramel.

5. If you could have lunch with one celebrity, who would it be? I really want to say the beautiful Ben Cucumber or Tom Hiddleston, but I couldn't pass up the opportunity to dine with Dame Maggie Smith in all of her BAMF glory.

6. Favorite random skill? Is kickboxing random? If not then I can make those tiny origami stars out of strips of paper.

7. Top or bottom bunk? Neither. I hate bunk beds. My brother has one. I hate it.

8. What TV show have you not yet watched that you want to see? I still haven't seen Merlin and I know I'm going to love it but I already spend all of the time I don't have watching other shows.

9. What movie have you not yet watched that you want to see? I haven't seen all of the new Star Trek movie, and I know it has the glorious Bennydoodle Corcklepuff, and I am just very ashamed.
