Agent Mulder ripped his arm from Krycek's hold, furrowing his brow and taking a step back. Just where did this guy get off?

"Oh, and now you're trying to act like you give a damn? Why don't you remind me just why it is we don't have any evidence." Krycek had really blown this last case, leaving them with nothing to prove anything. He had to do something. He had to pull some rabbit out of his ass in order to make some type of recovery after all of this.

"What do you want me to do? Sit with my thumbs up my ass? Share your brilliant ideas with the class, Krycek."

"I think we always have a choice," Scully countered confidently, even while her mind kept the gun in her peripheral, constantly aware of just how dangerous this confrontation could be, of everything Alex Krycek was more than capable of. "What we do with our lives is down to no one but ourselves." She took a deep breath, keeping calm. her gaze unwavering, and when she spoke her voice was as quiet as it was steady. "So put down the gun and make...a...new...choice."

An unlit cigarette dangled between lips, swishing back and forth before the soldier plucked it out of his mouth, storing it back into the half pack tucked away in his breast pocket. He fixes Gorman with a look before turning away, snorting under his breath.

Sleep was usually never an issue for him. Hicks could sleep through the worst of it with ease but even he had his days of crippling insomnia when he was running on the fumes of coffee and smokes.
