Scillz by Art T | The Quiet Front
I’ve heard before about the 80/20 rule. In Chapter 3 of Show York Work, Kleon dives into sharing your process. I do tend to take photos every day. And, indeed, most of them are crap! I’m playing around. I’m experimenting with the light or composition. I don’t know technically “what I’m doing” a lot of the time, I’m just figuring out what works. That is a part of my process. The author argues that sharing every day, sending a ‘daily dispatch,’ creates a natural oeuvre for people to come to know you by. Don’t share every little thing, but be selective in exposing your process. And lucky for us in this day and age, social media makes that very easy.
