whats your favorite thing about each of the shakespeares (all of them!)
I’ll only do the ones I’ve seen! (also shit fam now I miss Something Rotten! again)
Christian Borle/Borlespeare: dude won the Tony! I love how he constantly looked for new funny beats to try on his castmates and watching their reactions throughout his run. Also the arms and the chest and his chemistry with Brian and John! He was iconic and I love him.
Will Chase/Chasespeare: literally everything he did as Shakespeare was dripping with sexuality. His voice, his dance moves (god bless those pelvic thrusts!!), his ability to work a crowd, and my god his comic timing and his chemistry with EVERYONE. I wish he was in the show longer, he was MINDBLOWING.
Eric Sciotto/Sciottospeare: THE BEST TAP DANCER EVER HOLY SHIT. Also that gorgeous hair. And his Will Power being straight up the most exciting thing I’ve ever seen on stage. His Shakespeare chewed ALL THE SCENERY. I enjoyed every time I saw him on as Shakespeare, but I do wish I got to see the other understudies in the Shakespeare track.
Adam Pascal/Pascalspeare: Adam can sing the fuck out of his songs. He has gotten a ton more confident on tour, so I’m proud of him. He’s really good at working the crowd too - come on, HE’S ADAM FREAKIN PASCAL FROM RENT!
anyway remember when Sciottospeare licked his middle finger to turn the page of Nigel's portfolio when Nick entered the afterparty scene
Since SR! closes so soon, I thought I would upload one of my favorite Sciottospeare moments. I love his “K Bye” because it is so drastically different than I’ve seen any other Shakespeare deliver it. He also wasn’t leaning up on Rob the way Christian and Will normally did. (And, who doesn’t love Sciottospeare?)
we don't deserve them???
because everyone needs Eric Sciotto’s digitally rendered signature on their blog
when you get a Rotten! Playbill with Eric Sciotto as official interim Shakespeare with a personalized signature from Eric in the mail???
calling eric sciotto fans:
i’m making a thing for him so i’m asking for y’all to send in to me what you love about eric and/or the way he plays shakespeare. i’m looking for one word/few words/short sentence answers. you can send me more than one but they just have to be of that length. thanks friends!!!
