She was shy, that was plain to see, Hans understood her in a way, he was only the 13 son, no one of any importance. Yet here he was representing his kingdom.

Gently warming his hands with his fires, Hans held out a hand to the shy little princess of Arendelle.

“It would be my greatest honor to dance with the princess of Arendelle.”

       “Okay,” Vanellope whispers, looking back at the young princess, “The cookie jar’s not on the counter, so it has to be in one ‘a the cabinets --- which means we’re prob’ly gonna have ta’ come up with a new plan.”

Olaf... That was the last time Elsa poured her heart out in confidence to that Snowman. He never could keep his thoughts in his head. He was so much like a child that way.

“Anna, that’s really not necessary. This isn’t what it-” But Anna was already gone. Off to get snacks for ‘girl talk’ with her big sister. “seems..”

Damn. She’d wanted to avoid this for a while. Until things were more certain. Until she was sure it was more than just a passing fancy. But it was best that they talk about this. Elsa would be leaving soon to travel with Cecil and Anna deserved to at least know some of what was going on. At least Elsa’s side of things.

She took a seat and waited for Anna to return, nervously tapping the table with every second. This was going to be an interesting conversation for sure.

After informing her what her traditions were on the 31st, she seemed to be interested in making a small ofrenda for her parents. She could easily help her with that as long as they obtained a few materials for it, & of course, as long as she was willing to make one.

“  We’re going to go shopping.  ” She put it simply. “  For your ofrenda. That is---if you want to. It shouldn’t take long, there’s not much that you need in order to set up one unless you want plenty on it.  ”

It had been almost four hundred years since he had last seen Arendelle, he was honestly a bit eager to see the changes that had come since its founding. So when the devil walked into the lands he was quite pleased seeing people happy, the deal that was made to help it’s founding was for it’s success, but he only really held his efforts up until the end of the lifetime of the person he made the deal with, always in the shadows of course, after all most didn’t want anything known about his efforts in whatever was done to help with it. Considering how people saw him he understood, even if he hated it. 

Imagine his surprise however when he saw the trademark stark red hair of the royal family. She must have been the princess. “Excuse me.” He gave a lightly flourished bow, his outfit spoke volumes of his value if not his worth. “You wouldn’t happen to be from the royal family would you m’lady?”

     “It’s nice to meet you! Welcome to Berk.” The visit of another royal was enough to bring him back to Berk. As the resident dragon rider and trainer he needed to show that dragons were not something to be feared. “I’m Hiccup. And this, is Toothless.” He gestured to the black dragon who was never far from his side. Said dragon was tilting his head to take in the new person but sticking close encase said person was a threat to Hiccup as a lot of new people were it seemed.

❝   i promise you i’m fine.    ❞         he says to the horse,     but there are no further reassurances followed.     when hans has arrived to the kingdom at the heed of one of his brothers,    he’s had no choice but to follow    —     especially when the king of the southern isles had given them his solemn but glaring permission.    his eyes had been clear before they’ve departed father’s chamber:    do not embarrass me.    embarrass?    hans thinks,    if only that attributed to his brothers being careful around the wine and ale as well.    as is,   hans can feel new bruises from where brothers had jostled and tossed him around just last night.    he is a man ageing to his twenty-sixth year    :    how come he is so easily pushed around as if he weighed no more than a mere babe ?

hans do not think about it,   but continues to arrange the rest of what he ought to do in the stables.    that’s what his life had been   :   trying to survive under every monarch’s piercing judge yet balancing this life of a barely-prince where he’s expected to do the worst of manual labour,   all the while still shows to the gala as if he’s been bathed in water of roses and has his nails trimmed to perfection.    ❝   you may just put your horse next to mine —    ❞   he says to the sound of the stable door being pushed open without turning around.   sitron,   next to him,   moves as if he’s been startled;   the action hitting a particular spot in his bruised shoulder which causes hans to wince.     ❝   calm,   boy.   what is it—-    ❞    eyes finally trained on the other person,   and hans feels his blood runs cold.

“Anna, go to sleep now.” Iduna said from her place at the door, it was moments like this that reminded Iduna of herself at Anna’s age, rambunctious and free.
