It’s a design job, but so was my previous job (mostly). I don’t mind at all, honestly! I’ve always enjoyed a variety of tasks and getting to do new things, and I appreciate the way design can be just as effective a method of storytelling as illustration, and that’s the perspective I take to viewing my projects. Both are about communicating visually! :)
Since my background started as web design/development and illustration, and in high school I couldn’t decide which I wanted to pursue, being a designer has become a perfect compromise. I still get to illustrate as a designer, even if it’s just icons or graphics. I usually still sketch my concepts by hand as well. After work, I can work on my personal projects or art for others, so it’s not like I can never draw. At the very least, I won’t be too tired to draw since I’m NOT doing it at work, haha! ;)

Thank you so much!! <3
