I believe I’ve began to slowly make the final transition from Eagle to Phoenix.
In astrology, if you believe in these things, Scorpio is said to have three important stages of existence and is the only zodiac capable of such transformation. My current stage is that of an “Eagle” which is known as a “Bird of Prey” or an apex predator, having no natural enemies, in the wild. They can ONLY hurt themselves, which ironically happens during their mating ritual. Eagles lock their feet together and dive bomb in a spiral towards the ground and release right before they reach the surface. Sometimes they do not realize soon enough and kill themselves. Only in love or in the pursuit of such can he be dismantled. Scorpio’s at this stage, such as myself, allow our own suffering. It’s noone’s fault but my own that I endure things I shouldn’t for any reason. At this stage, self awareness is the provoking element not wanton emotion. Now moving on…
Let’s consider the specific traits of the second stage the eagle: regal, a precision instrument with respect to its hunting prowess, haughty, and owns a profound sense of arrogance. Albeit of these traits, the eagle stage comes with a heightened sense of intelligence that is able to discern threats and ulterior motives of those around him.
He is rarely surprised by what his adept eyesight can detect long before he encounters it. In fact, this particular stage is all about discernment and understanding why things happen in conjunction with being able to predict them in advance. This stage is filled with confirmations, recognitions, and expectations.
Where the transition comes into play is when the eagle understands HE is his own judge, jury, and executioner. HE has danced with his darkness and understands how to control his brooding thoughts fueled by an emotional intensity. Only then can he embrace the fiery will of Mars that allows him to ignite the ferocity inside he has been keeping chained and smothered out of fear for those around him.
While in actuality the raging flames of Mars is his key to immortality. You see, he is and will always be a fixed water sign…fire can burn inside him or his skin but he will never die.
