hm... lots of things to work towards this year! such as...

The Kirby Project! I started the reboot more than a year ago, and I'm still not done with Adventure. Let's see if I can get a bit more done this year! My specific goal is to get to Super Star, which requires finishing Adventure, doing a couple spin-offs, and getting through Dream Land 2.

Kirby's 30th Anniversary! I always do something for Kirby's birthday, but 30 is a big milestone! Gotta do something big.....

OC Stuff! I didn't give too much attention to character designing last year, so I'd like to change that this year. I'd like to make lots of new characters, and work on developing the ones I already got!

Art Fight! I love Art Fight every year, and I plan on going just as hard on it as I did last year, if not harder.

A New Project! When I go long lengths without working on the Kirby project, it's not cause I'm tired of drawing in general, it's that I'm tired of the specific style of that project. Starting a new project would be a great way to direct my motivation somewhere else for a change of pace! I plan on doing a Majora's Mask themed project, and that will hopefully start soon!

The Bingo! I have a large scale WIP based on a few Favorite Character Bingos I've created recently. (And by a few, I mean I think there's like 250 characters currently..........) This one is something I'd really like to finish and post this year, cause it's a BIG drawing. I like too many characters....

Animation! Certainly an ambitious goal, but I'd really really like to get into animation. As far as learning entirely new skills, this one is at the top of my list. I think it's something I could get good at, with the right effort and also the right tools.

And of course, I'd like to just draw more in general. I still have a long ways to go with my current skillset, and I'd love to be able to look at where I started and look at where I ended this year, and have noticeable improvement. I won't bite off more than I can chew with all of these goals, but having any amount of goals is important, especially as an artist!!!

A mischievous Scorpit! It’s a little tough to mess with this guy’s facial expressions, but it’s actually very fun to do so as well! They already look a bit mischievous, so I just tried to dial that up a bit.

Ah yes, 2020, the year Kirby Air Ride 2 will finally release.

Hey here’s some sketches! I want to post art more often, even if it’s not all colored and finished, so you’re probably gonna start seeing more sketches on this blog! Hopefully stuff like this can fill in the gaps between stuff like the Kirby Character series and what not. Some of the characters in this sketch sheet are my own characters, just so you know!!

2018 already huh? This was a pretty big year for my art, and I’m happy to keep things going next year! I guess my only “goals” are to finish the Kirby project and upload more of my oc stuff, since I really struggled with that. Other than that I’m winging it! Thanks for everyone whose stuck around for my art, it really means a lot. See ya around!

So the daily oc thing immediately got ‘cancelled’ because I realized doing one a day would take quite a bit, and I also don’t really like “schedules” So instead im just doing it whenever. It will still be in the same style, with a few sketches. I’m also working on figuring out colors, so whenever I figure that out, I’ll add some updates I guess. Here’s Scorpit’s green shell.

So I have a wooden desk that I’ve been doodling a daily character on, so I figure a daily upload would be a good way to showcase these. I’ve already done quite a few, so expect a couple of these the next few days, before becoming a daily thing. I’ll include a little group of sketches, just so you can see the characters in motion. Today is Scorpit, my first character and the one most dear, I guess. It’s a hermit crab mixed with a scorpion, and it usually dons a large smug grin. It will hide in it’s shell, using the scorpion stinger at it’s tip for defense. For the majority of my characters, I have nothing in terms of color design. That’ll be a later development I suppose. Once I have color though, I’d like to do more detailed drawings. Don’t expect a huge paragraph for each entry either, this is just the first one. Oops!

Edit: Also my camera isn’t that good, but I figured I would include the wood drawings because why not.
