& miles to go before i sleep { scorpius & lily }
Lily Potter lifted the hood of her cloak over her head, doing her best to hide it's telltale ginger hue, though perhaps the brilliant red of the shawl didn't do much good on that front. She swept the fabric over her shoulders, affixing it. Plucking up a small basket full of foodstuffs that she was delivering to her grandmother, she left her small and bleak home. That she was not actually going to visit her grandmother was a relatively insignificant detail. It was simply an excuse to run wild through the woods, the last thing she needed was for the townspeople to have yet another reason to see her as an immodest young lady.
Humming a melody under her breath, she started toward the woods, it wouldn't be too long before she was out of the boundaries that her town's domain extended to. After walking for what seemed like forever, she decided that she could have a small treat. She had, after all, spent time baking so why shouldn't she? She sorted through her basket, deciding on a small blue berry muffin. The sudden rumble of a masculine voice behind her almost caused her to yelp in fright, but she was a wise young girl, so instead only held her head high and didn't turn around.
"You won't be getting in the way of my dinner." She informed him. There. That would show him that she wouldn't be pushed around. Dropping the muffin back into her basket, she used her free hand to tighten her shawl around her neck.
