LUCY:

The past few weeks had been a whirlwind of a new life. With work and moving into her new flat with Fran, time to see anyone not at work or at home had become a rarity. And with Scorpius entering his new group life the way she was doing, seeing him had been a fleeting kiss in greeting before a fleeting kiss in goodbye. 

Their schedules had finally agreed with each other and she found herself glancing in the mirror to grant it’s approval. Her recently cut hair smoothly fell to her collarbones, wild curls tamed into soft waves after using one of the charms Lydia had taught her, and a pretty green dress framing her small frame. Deciding she looked as good as she possibly could after the week she had has she stepped into her pair of comfortable yet fashionable brown booties. 

They’d debated on where their date would be, before finally deciding to leave Albus the flat to himself and have their date at the Manor. Lucy was more than a little excited to see the place and finally have a go at the Library she had only seen second hand via the Room of Requirement. And of course she was ecstatic to see Scorpius without any interruptions. 

Grabbing a pinch of floo powder she stepped into the fireplace, letting the flames engulf her as she spoke clearly “Malfoy Manor.”

SUMMARY → Lucy comes back for Becca’s wedding and Scorpius is the first person she visits.

LUCY:

She’s only been in London a few minutes, long enough to drop her things off at the flat she had shared with Fran, before she had decided on where she first wanted to go. She’d promised Becca she would visit her as soon as she got in, but surely she would be okay with she took a slight detour? Her heart beat erratically and her hands shook slightly at just the thought of seeing him after two years of being away. Would he even want to see her? Would he slam the door in her face? Would he ask her many questions she didn’t know how to answer? Before she could talk herself out of it she gripped her wand and pictured the large gates she wanted to stand in front of.

Her steps were small and unsure as she made her way towards the Manor looming before her. She wasn’t sure if the wards would still allow her through but with a sigh of relief she found that she could walk though the large imposing gates without a problem. She wasn’t sure why she was so surprised when her apartment would still allow him in, his magical signature one of the only ones her wards would recognize. Yet she was surprised to be allowed entry. Lucy didn’t question it for long though, instantly making her way towards the familiar Manor, as if afraid the wards would reject her at any moment. 

The closer the manor got the more unsure her steps became, flattering as the sky above her darkened and rain began slowly pouring down. Once again thoughts of how he would react to seeing her again filled her mind and she forced them out again. The anti-apparation charms the only reason she didn’t turn on her heels and dissapeared as she walked up the steps and towards the front door. Her hand reaching up to knock just as the door swung open.

Her legs felt weak and she worried they would fail her as she looked up at the person she had missed the most while away. She knew she looked awful, the rain having drenched her in water (her sundress plastered to her body and straight hair curling around her face), yet a smile spread on her lips at the sight of him. And for the first time in years she didn’t feel completely lost. “Hi.” she finally breathed out.

Notes: The first day of the rest of their lives. Albus and Scorpius meet up to search for a place to live.

Ablus:

Albus woke up early that morning, he hadn’t slept much but he couldn’t go back to sleep. Every time he closed his eyes, he saw fire and heard blood curdling screams. His body shivered and tensed everytime he relived the events of the wedding, still he tried to push the nightmare to the back of his mind. 

He spent most of the morning going over his emails and letters making sure he was up to date with everything. He saw that he had received quite a few job offers from many different programs, all of which held little interest to him. He took out his wand and destroyed them not wanting anyone to know of this. 

When the time finally arrived, he got up from his desk, threw on his leather jacket James had bought him for Christmas and headed out the door making sure to let his mother know where he was going and how long he would be. 

With a faint ‘pop’, he dissaperated into thin air and soon appeared in Hogsmeade village. The smell of warm food filled his nostrils, yet he did not smell the sweet scent of Honeydukes. He frowned with disappointment as he head to a nearby bench waiting for his friend. Al took out a book from his rucksack and unfolded the corner of the page for where he left off. He was excited, it was going to be a good day.

SETTING → Astronomy Tower

SUMMARY → Lucy bumps into Scorpius and finally makes him talk to her.

LUCY:

Lucy’s favorite thing about being a prefect wasn’t the authority she had over her peers (although that was a second favorite), or the shiny badge she got to wear everyday. No, her favorite part of being a prefect was being able to wander the hallways without having to sneak around professors or other prefects. So as her prefect duties came to an end she made her way towards the astronomy tower, wrapping the robe closer to her as she walked up the stairs. It wasn’t often that she visited the Astronomy tower, not anymore anyway, but that night seemed to be an exception. 

The darkness of the night combined with the light of the stars cast shadows over her face as she finally arrived. Looking around she almost smiled at the sight of the familiar blonde sitting on one of the benches, and for a moment she thought of another blonde. The thought caused a dull ache in her chest before she shook it off, or tried to. With grace only a dancer could have she silently made her way towards him, sitting herself next to him. Cold fingers pulling her dress over her thigh and her robe closer to her herself. “Malfoy.” she finally greeted.

LUCY: 

Lucy had heard, and read, tales about Malfoy Manor being beautiful. That, however, didn’t prepare her for when she opened her eyes to be greeted with the beautifully decorated Manor. It was almost as beautiful as Hogwarts itself, she mused as she looked around. Blue eyes slightly widened as she took everything in and a slight smile on her lips. She’s had come up with a mental imagine of how Scorpius had described it her in order for her to apperate and pick him up. She’d have to talk to him about his lack of describing details and how she could have splinched herself. Or landed in a less nicer Manor. 

Before she could continue admiring the manor she heard footsteps from above her. Smoothing out her dress, she turned on her heels nervously. Her normally wild curls were tamed into larger curls that looked smooth and sleek, yet she knew they could be everything but when the night ended, her makeup done as naturally as possible. She looked good, and she knew it, yet she was still nervous. “I though the girl was supposed to make the entrance.” she called out, blue eyes twinkling playfully as he appeared at the top of the staircase. “Then again, I do suppose it fits.” she laughed as she walked towards the foot of the staircase.

Cuff links in Hogsmead

It had taken all morning but Michelle was finally satisfied with the way she looked in the mirror. She gathered up her things and headed out to Hogsmead with a spring in her step and a lump in her throat. They had decided to meet outside of Honeydukes, though she doubted that was where Scorpius wanted to actually go, given he was supposed to be wearing his cuff links today. The thought of them brought a smile to her face, or maybe it was just him. It was hard to tell but all she knew is that every time she thought she saw his figure rounding the corner her stomach flipped in surprised delight. If nothing else came from this, she would have this excitement to remember. Finally she actually saw his form appearing from out of the crowd and her face broke into a bright grin, “Looks like I win again, huh? You’ve got alot of catching up to do.”

LUCY:

It was quite easy to get out of going to the Burrow that day. Her mum had understood why she didn't feel like going and her dad had pretended he did. Although not every member of the large Potter- Weasley family attended the Burrow on Sunday's, Lucy wasn't too keen on taking a change. Of course that wasn’t the only chance she had declined the invitation of going to the Burrow for the day. Her real reason had been a six foot something blonde she had invited over to dinner. So as soon as her parents had disappeared from their fireplace she had made her way into the kitchen. Wand in hand as she began preparing for the dinner. The small blonde moving gracefully around the room, taking food out of cupboards and arranging them on the counters. It had taken her a while to decide on what kind of food she wanted to make before deciding on Italian. It was simple, elegant and perhaps her favorite to make. 

Minutes turned into hours and she hardly felt the time pass by as she got lost in making the best food she possibly could. He might not have admitted she was the best cuddler, even though she knew she was, but she was going to make him admit her food was awesome and she would one day make an amazing wife. Music softly played in the background, instrumentals helping her relaxed as she moved gracefully throughout the kitchen. Sauce mixing in one bowl and vegetables cutting themselves on a board as she worked on making breadsticks. It was the most relaxed she’d felt all week. Since the Quidditch Cup fiasco, as she had found herself calling it numerous time, she’d been unable to completely relax. The smell of food in the air and music softly playing in the background, set her mind at ease. Her mind was no longer a mixture of thoughts she wish she didn’t have and worries about what was coming. It was peacefully empty, and emptiness one only found when waking up in the morning.

A few minutes later, when she decided everything was ready, she made her way into her room. Taking a shower was her next step, followed by a small internal battle of what to wear and asking herself why it even mattered. That however didn’t stop her from choosing her favorite green sundress and a pair of creme colored flats. Her hair was another problem completely and after thirty minutes she gave a flick of her wand and dried it. Blonde curls thankfully resting against her shoulders without sticking out too much. They were however, just as unruly as they always were. A few more flicks of her wand had her makeup done to match her dress, making her eyes look a bit more green than blue. Deciding she was presentable she rushed back into the kitchen, suddenly very glad she had magic as a few flicks of her wand set the table. 

At the sound of something, a pop? a thud maybe?, coming from the living room she gripped the wand in her hand tighter. Her body only relaxing slightly as she realized that it was probably Scorpius. Still she cautiously walked in the direction of the living room, a sigh of relief slipping past her lips as she caught sight of him. “A warning would have been nice, Malfoy.” she commented, leaning against the doorway.

LUCY:

She wasn’t exactly sure why she was scanning the Burrow’s backyard for a flash of familiar blonde hair. Well she knew why, she just wasn’t likely to admit it to herself or anyone else for that matter. She’d rather blame the blood loss or the drink in her hand. It didn’t take her long to locate him in the see of red hair and various other hair colors. His blonde just seemed to stand out in a crowd. And even if not for his hair she was sure he would find a way to make himself noticeable. 

Taking a longer sip from her drink she ran a hair through her blonde hair, once tight curls turned into loose waves around her face. A few strategic steps around her peers and friends left her standing next to him, which so happened to be next to the refreshment table. “Hey.” she greeted him, giving him what she hoped was a nice non tipsy smile.
