Drinks with Vodka or Scotch?
No other drink has been known for having been so much associated with manliness or manhood as scotch. Whether it’s the hooking punch that one gets from this drink or even the raw as well as earthly process by which it is made from water and water; this liqueur has held a very prominent place in the lives of many men; right from kings to Arthurs to even current time business men, etc.
Known as scotch whisky, this drink which is casually referred to as scotch is made from grain or malt whiskey from Scotland. In fact, scotch whiskey can be broadly divided into five distinct categories: ‘single malt scotch whiskey’, blended malt scotch whiskey’, ‘single grain scotch whiskey’, ‘blended scotch whisky’ and ‘blended grain scotch whisky.’ Scotch drinks are popularly mixed with water so as to dilute it.
In fact, it had been commonly said by Scottish literary historian and literary critic, scholar and writer, David Daiches “The proper drinking of scotch whisky is more than indulgence: it is a toast to civilization, a tribute to the continuity of culture, a manifesto of man’s determination to use the resources of nature to refresh mind and body and enjoy to the full the senses with which he has been endowed.”
Another popular spirit, which is also popular, is vodka; which is in fact considered to be one of life’s pleasures in its homeland- Russia where it originated from. This liqueur has relatively high-alcohol content (anywhere between 30-60%). Often a preferred choice, this liqueur is used in many different and popular alcoholic drinks. An extremely popular base drink, it is also very popular for being used in many different cocktails as well.

There are many different drinks with vodka that can be made. The liqueur is known to have a low amount of congeners, which are toxic chemicals in alcohol and is known for its neutral taste. In fact mixing this spirit with a juice is known to be extremely popular; especially with popular juices mixed such as cranberry, grape, orange and pomegranate juice, Mountain Dew and Red Bull. However, one of the most popular vodka-based drink is the Cosmopolitan; a cocktail that is made using a mixture of triple sec, cranberry juice, vodka and freshly squeezed lime/sweetened lime juice.
