A federal appeals court in Washington, DC, Friday said the Trump administration cannot block pregnant unaccompanied migrant minors in federal custody from access to abortions.
Scott Lloyd ran the refugee office for most of 2017 and 2018 as HHS was taking custody of thousands of migrant children separated from their families.
Scott Lloyd, a Trump appointee who oversaw refugee children at the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), is leaving the administration, the agency announced on Wednesday.

Campaigners are calling for a criminal investigation of a controversial Trumpappointee who blocked pregnant migrant teens in his custody from accessing abortions.
Scott Lloyd ordered shelters to send the women to have consultations at religiously affiliated crisis pregnancy centres that are against abortion – and undergo medically unnecessary ultrasounds.
He had been running the Office of Refugee Resettlement – an agency which helps refugees arriving in the US and runs shelters housing detained child migrants – from March 2017. He was removed from the post in November and is now in another department.

A Trump anti abortion activist official decided - as head of refugee resettlement in the US - that all women and girls within the system he controlled would be blocked from their Constitutional right to abortion.
He kept a record of all of the girls and women’s menstrual cycles each week, and a spreadsheet on if they became pregnant and how far they were along and what could be done to obstruct their desire to meet with doctors or go to clinics until their time to get a legal abortion had passed.
All girls and women, regardless if they are US citizens are not, are protected by the Constitution to decide if they want an abortion.
A US court ordered that LLoyd stop his interference with the girls and women under the care of his department, and he continued to do so for at least seven more months until he was removed from his position and transferred to Health and Human Services Center for Faith and Opportunity Initiatives, so yeah, he’s still working in government.
