These seven improvised sketches for cello & electronics were the fruit of several solo sessions in July 2010, principally with cello and a Lexicon effects machine, ostensibly researching material for an opening of paintings by the German painter Rune Mields in Sindelfingen, Germany. Many of the sketches are based on the tone G (sol) and are characterised at moments by a primary ritualistic, minimalist, mantric nature.
Some of these sketches or ideas based on them were used in the collaboration with Nina Kurzeja in her dance theater interpretation of Dea Lohers Tätouwierung in the Theaterhaus Stuttgart in December 2010.
