While Connor had expected some witty remarks or Isaac to make fun of him, he was surprised to be offered WARM MILK. So surprised, in fact, that he was stunned into silence for a few moments. All he did was nod.

                         Nod, in order to show that he was willing to try out Isaac’s cheesy old method with a cup of warm milk and... He nod because if Isaac were to go now, he’d have enough time to put himself together again.

       “What do you see? -- When you have nightmare, I mean? Do you even  have nightmares?”

                   she barely knows him; this is ridiculous. she shouldn't feel this way for someone she barely knows & somebody who will undoubtedly want nothing to do with her once he knows her true parentage and she shouldn't be falling so hard for somebody with gorgeous lips and a perfect jawline and the perfect hair but she is --- she's fallen quite hard for him already. darcy doesn't know if she can explain exactly WHY, and it does worry her just a little bit, but she has yet to learn that you can never easily describe the one your heart beats so fast for. isaac lahey, god-like being and all, could trample her heart into a million pieces and she'd most likely say thank you.

               perhaps it is because he looks so much like the gods who give her comfort when she's alone that her heart beats so fast for him. that's the only valid reason she can give; darcy hates most other people, and he's got a wicked grin about him that should warn her to stay away. it doesn't. artemis, independence; apollo, confidence; hestia, safety & security. they all radiate from him like some sort of perfect combination of them both.

            ‘what?’ darcy responds, blinking as she returns to reality. she'd been staring, and the way he looks at her despite it not at all being in a romantic sense makes her breath catch in her throat. ‘i --’ she's scrambling for a thought, swallowing thickly as she turns to look over her shoulder. her skin tingles. ‘i thought i heard something. sorry. is it distracting?’
