My immediate family is from an EXTREMELY small town in Kentucky. Pikeville is the closest thing to a city we have for many miles. We have family current and retired in law enforcement at the local, state and federal level. The officer shot and killed was known my some of our family and he leaves behind a 9 month old baby. With every possible voice we have I cannot express the sadness I feel for his family. Unfortunately we have weak words in English to express this level of sadness. Scotty Hamilton paid the ultimate sacrifice for his life in public safety.
