11 years.
I have been apart of an organization that you only volunteer your time to better the lives on children of all ages from 4-18.
11 years.
On April 29th 2016 I will officially receive my first ever award from my time with the organization. I have seen people over the years that have been there less time then me get awards for service etc. . It always made me sad that I never actually got one myself for how much time I have put into it. Now that I look at it those people got the little awards and my time was get to come. On the 29th of this month at 7:30pm I will be receiving the Province of Ontario Youth Volunteer Award for Scout Canada.
I am nervous for this night because I never get awards or thank yous. I do what I do out of my heart because I love seeing children grow and learn the weirdest things. It brightens my day.
