Nothing was more infuriating to Lucas than having all the puzzle pieces right in front of him, and no clue where to put them. The prom rigging, D threatening Lucas with his deepest, darkest secrets, D forcing at least two people to take random other people to prom, Alek Kwon asking Leonard to prom and then suddenly canceling with a completely bullshit excuse before giving a speech about Dante’s notebook of stuffed with peoples’ deepest, darkest secrets; all of these things were laid out in his mind. Something had happened here, something Lucas was on the very edge of, but didn’t know the what or why, and it was driving him absolutely insane. 

He certainly didn’t have the self-control to listen to a lecture about Shakespeare without his mind wandering. When Lucas realized that everyone had started to discuss with the person next to them, he realized he’d just missed what Mr. Morris had been saying. He turned to his deskmate, “Sorry, Scout, I totally missed that. What are we supposed to be doing right now?”

I can’t believe my baby sister turns 18 today! She undoubtedly inherited all of the genes for brilliance and brilliance in the family that I did not. I am incredibly proud of her, who she is as a person, and all that she accomplishes! I’m also grateful for all of our memories/photoshoots throughout the years.
